We stopped here for lunch having taken the express boat right up the river. Its at ferry stop 3 north of Bangkok city. They have fans blowing as well as the breeze from the river. The deep fried calamari is pretty good and the beers are very cold which was much appreciated in 35 degree heat.

We visited here as it was recently recommended,we were a bit worried as when we arrived we were the only customer. It soon filled up. The staff was friendly and efficient, bought our drinks quickly. The menu was clearly laid out and we ordered a bag each of the seafood. One had the lemon pepper sauce and the other had the "signature" sauce. We all agreed the lemon pepper was much better. The signature sauce was very oily- see the photo. The ribs were juicy and soft and chicken wings also. I would suggest more potato in the bag as they were the best part. I checked and the staff said no MSG is used in the cooking so that's good. Our group also suggested that the bibs given should be paper and not plastic- better for the environment.Overall we would go back just to have something different than Italian/Japanese/shabu.

The dining concept is huge on nostalgia, charm and grace. The banquet hall is exactly that...a Hall.... spacious enough to host a signature banquet AND ballroom event at the same time!Decor and ambiance is fantastic, bringing you happily to yesterday once more. The setting is incredible. The banquet hall spills into the courtyard which overlooks the river. A fort-like structure extends from the hotel annex. Landscaped gardens fringes a pond of carps and a mermaid sculpture. The vast boardwalk deck boasts a dining area stilted over the river. Al fresco at its best.Don't miss dining here. You don't want to have THAT kind of regret.Beyond a good culinary experience, stroll the grounds and surrounds. If you don't, you'll probably end up kicking yourself. This outlet is also known as Buddy Oriental Riverside Pakkred.

Siam 77 is the home of giant shrimp in Bangkok and would also go so far to say all of Thailand. Yes it is difficult to find but it is worth the journey. The shrimp are char grilled to perfection and butterflied to present the mustard from the head. The menu selection is extensive and innovative. The curried mussels, garlic shrimp, soft shell crab in garlic and pepper and whole fish with mango are superb. This is casual dining at its best where the chefs focus on doing what they do best.
