We are regulars at this restaurant. They have another outlet at taman kota syah bandar.The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, food is good and very friendly staff. We like the old fashion fish and chips. I like to pair it with the butter rice instead of the chips. The quality of the mushroom soup however has deteriorated through the years.

At first sight this restaurant looked old and poorly maintained but:- food was delicious, specially the baked fish and fried mushrooms - good value for money- good service as we arrived at 6:30pm before the crowd Perfect place in order to avoid the tourist traps of many Melaka restaurants nowadays!

The food spread was just obscene and just tempted the palate at every turn. Fish slice noodle soup was authentic and delicious. The cream of the experience goes to the kopi tarik by Hishammudin. Janet and Helen the owners/hosts/cooks are lovely and will put together a selection of dishes to suit you. We visited as a large group (4 tables) and all the dishes were consistently good. A special treat in the Portugese Settlement precincy at Christmas-time are the Christmas lights and carolers on the weekend.

Was taken to this resturant by a local friend who thought it was the best place to go for local seafood, and although the food was OK I didn't think it was anything to write home about, and the crab dish seemed to be disproportonally expensive. A meal I had 20 years ago in Melaka was more memorable for its food than this one.

I've been to this eatery 18 years ago and at that time really an unforgettable memories. After such a long hiatus, I've visited this place and truly has changed a lot. I don't see those waves hit the shores, not much customers, menu has changed and etc. The dishes we ordered were more like a typical Malay foods and insatiable. The waiters seems reminding us the last call would be at 11.45pm from the moment we arrive till we depart. They are concerned more on when customer will depart rather than handling customer service. It's a nice place which is set in a quiet tranquil, sea view, beer garden but totally mismanage. Absolutely, the owner did not take the initiative to promote, market the place and generate revenue. It's a fantastic place to draw the crowd and could be listed one of Malacca's visited place for dining but to no avail. Hope to see some changes on my next visit

Was an excellent dinner. Every dish was good. The cheese beehoon, crab, pork rib, chicken... every dish was just so good. You need to book way in advance otherwise be prepared to wait a long while for the table.
