The Nantucket

My husband and I come here every two to three months with friends. Happy hour from Wednesday through Friday is a great deal, with discounted drinks from the full bar, and earlybird specials. I particularly like the prime rib for two on Friday and Saturdays. The portions are generous (12+ ounces each) and the food tasty. This dish comes with soup or salad, baked potato and veggies done al dente, and a bottle of wine to share. Their fried seafood is excellent, as well as the pasta specials. When crowded, service can be a little slow, but if you don't try to rush the servers they are friendly and accommodating. I've occasionally had desert, and the peach melba is the star. Getting there is tricky, and the unpaved driveway and parking lot full of holes, but once you are in the restaurant the view is the show.

Located in a new strip mall, La Lupita is very new and clean looking with interesting wall art. The staff is very friendly and solicitous. However, the food was not very good. (Maybe because it was a Sunday evening.) When evaluating Mexican food, the "gold standard" for my wife and myself is carnitas. My wife ordered the carnitas tacos and I ordered the carnitas super burrito. Unfortunately, the carnitas were dry and tasteless. Interestingly, on the wall were taped pieces of paper and a white board with East Indian food items listed. Apparently, there is an East Indian connection to this restaurant, but we could not find out due to the language issue. We will not return.

My husband and I went on a Friday night. We were seated right away. We ordered sweet potato fries ($5.50), a pound of shrimp cc combo ($13.99), a pound of green mussels cc combo ($11.99), garlic noodles ($6.99), and rice ($1.99). It took about 10 minutes for our food to arrive. They initially brought the wrong shrimp order, but corrected it right away. Service was friendly, food was good. I do not mind eating here again when I'm craving for shrimps and garlic noodles.

Came here before dinner for some drinks and appetizers. Enjoyed everything we tried. They have some indoor and outdoor seating if you want to walk with your dog. They arent that big so they probably get pretty busy at dinner time. Service was speedy and friendly.
