We spent two nights here and it is not just a B&B, as one can also purchase dinners, which are always of a buffet kind and have a different theme every night of the week. We ate on both evenings here and it was excellent, local food, very fresh and tasty, the first night there were different roasted meats, the second different kinds of fish. But there is also a hotel facility in the same house as the restaurant. The room was in the attic, very cozy and comfortable with a lovely countryside view from the windows. The owner is really nice and caring, always helping out the waiting staff and chatting with the patrons in the nicest possible way. One can also get free bikes ot expore the countryside and in 15 minutes one can cycle along the sea in a forest, which is stunning! Overall, I would definitely return here were to come back to Rügen island!!

Nach einer langen Wanderung kehrten wir am Nachmittag im Having-Hof ein. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und schnell, das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Wir bestellten den besten Eierkuchen mit Pflaumenmus ever, auch die MV-Sülze schmeckte sehr gut.Gerne kommen wir wieder.

enttäuscht, dass nach einer langen, wenn gleich naturell sehr reizvollen Wanderung von Göhren nach Thiessow zum Rügen Markt dieser just zu unserer Ankunft 16:00 schloss, liefen wir weiter richtig Südperd, dem südlichsten Zipfel von Rügen und der wunderschönen Halbinsel Mönchgut. Beim Warten auf den Bus für die Rückfahrt fiel uns der am Restaurant angegliederte Imbiss der "Mönchguter Fischerklause" an der Villa Daheim auf. Oh mein Gott, das Heilbuttbrötchen was ich aÃ, war wohl das leckerste, was ich je gegessen habe....und schwupps drehte ich mich um, als es aufgegessen war, um noch eins zu kaufen. ;-)Im Gespräch mit dem Wirt offenbarte er uns, dass er wöchentlich einen Fischimbiss im Chemnitzer Vita-Center mit frischem, selbst geräucherten Fisch beliefert. Fazit: Vergesen Sie den Rügen-Markt, die Fischerklause MÃSSEN Sie besuchen, Fischbötchen essen und die reizvolle Natur sehen!

"Gasthof Zum Walfisch" is a wonderful Restaurant and small Hotel in the remote fishing village of Lobbe/Rügen. Owned by the same family since 1888 it offers 19 rooms for the price of 28,- to 45,-⬠p/P per night with breakfast, depending on the season. It has a lovely Restaurant with maritime decoration, also telling the story how the house got its name. The menue is small but nice and the prices are really moderate depending on the location.Starters from 4,30 to 6,60 Soup from 3,80 to 3,90 Salads from 3,20 to 8,40 Fish from 8,90 to 12,90 and Meat from 8,20 to 20,- â¬.The service is friendly, quick and helpful and the dishes are really tasty, we tried fried herring and it was really wonderful.in front of the house is a lovely beergarden where you can sit when the weather is fine, the Baltic Sea is only a stonethrow away.

This fish restaurant was very good. The menu includes typical German as well as international dishes. All were very tasty. The portions were adequate for us, but might not be enough for more hungry people; I recommend ordering an appetizer. The value-for-money could therefore be improved. The service was exceedingly friendly and very casual. The restaurant belongs to the Hotel "Deutsche Flagge" (see corresponding review here on tripadvisor). However, one can enter it without passing through the hotel, and so it does not have the feel of a hotel-restaurant.
