While trying to explore the wonderful town of Monte San Giovanni Campano, we became lost on the back streets, and the constant climb took its toll on our small group of elderly and mobility-impaired group. We stumbled upon this restaurant, and they were so kind in offering us beverage to ease our thirst, and an absolutely delicious 'pranzo'. I am unsure that they were even open when we arrived, so we were doubly grateful they took pity on the American 'touristi'. The food they offered was plentiful and delicious, and just what we needed to get us back down. Their gardens are beautifully maintained and the panoramic views were breath-taking. The interior decor appeared suitable for weddings or parties, and the terraces would only compliment the setting for such an occasion. I am so glad we were unwittingly led to this jewel in the town of MSG Campano. I would love to return and hope that some day I will have the opportunity to do so.

We stumbled across this local restaurant in Broccostella by chance and was warmly welcomed by the owner Gianni. Despite my basic grasp of Italian he outlined the menu for us and explained which dishes were currently in season. My friend and I opted for some local fresh anti pasta and then decided to try the Irish and the Italian steaks. The steaks were presented on a sizzling hot plate which included roast potatoes and vegetables with a side of fresh homemade bread. The steaks tasted amazing and were both succulent and tender. The home made tiramisu is also a must. We have since revisited on our way back to Rome and have promised to come back on our next visit to Italy. la ringraziamo molto per la bella recensione. Noi e lo staff siamo davvero felici del fatto che lei abbia apprezzato i nostri prodotti . A great atmosphere in this small family restauraunt . When you tourn the corner from the main road you can feel the vibe and absoulutely the smell of a great cousine .. the host is great he is the owner too, is very welcoming and friendly.. the food is great fish is very fresh and the meet is absolutely stunnings .. what to say moore, is a place where you can enjoy your food inside and outside on the midle of isola del liri .. thanks Sono uno chef italiano che lavora a londra da 3 anni torno a casa ogni estate ed un amico mi ha portato in questo splendido ristorantino al centro di isola del liri a 2 passi dalla cascata dove il cibo e latmosfera sono fantastiche .. grazie di cuore Mauretto... Chef Daniele Caro chef la ringrazio per la recensione, non capisco però il perchè tripadvisor non la pubblica. La rinfrazio di nuovo.

I LOVED THIS PLACE!My friend and I went there for breakfast: the atmosphere is cozy and embracing, the choice of desserts (and tea) is amazing and the waitress was really kind and smiling. Lots of people were to take away typical food (as lasagne and cannelloni) for Christmas so I guess they must be tasty as well. However, the place is usually open during festive days for lunch and/or dinner.

A hidden place in a typical historic side of the Island of Liri....wooden furniture and tradizional objects for decorations, soft enviromental music, a pleasant relaxing atmosphere....excellent food, good qualità wines and a perfect host, owner of the restaurant....wonderful company with an entertainment touch...must try yourselves...don't miss out....

La Perla is an amazing restaurant! It is charming, casual and friendly with a very exciting menue. The kithcen offers a fine dining experience in a casual setting. Brilliant food and beuatiful presentations. The owner offers great wine suggestions. Very friendly and attentive staff. Beuatiful views and charming interiors. I love this place and keep coming back.

After 2 weeks in Italy I needed a break from an admittedly always-delicious over-consumption of pasta. This restaurant was recommended to us by a now-local, so that was a good sign.My order of chicken salad with yogurt dressing consisted of many warm chunks of cooked chicken and salad in the most marvellous dressing. My husband's carbonara was worthy of trying and I did. Scrumptious. The wine was full-bodied and my creme caramel was decadent. So much enjoyment for such a fair price and welcoming and attentive staff.My philosophy is to only rate those businesses that are exceptional (or really not, as a warning to other travellers). This was exceptional. We will return.
