we stopped at this bar for lunch one day as we only wanted a salad, the bar was full and looked really inviting. the staff very helpful and attentive especially the waiter. the salads were huge and lovely and very well priced. While we were waiting for our salad the waiter brought out a large tapa of boquerones with our drinks, they were fresh and tasty. We enjoyed the atmosphere we went back that night for pre dinner drinks. Wine was excellent and again we enjoyed to large tapas with each round of drinks. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Almuñecar.

Cerveceria Salitre Playa is a popular restaurant offering the local Mediterranean cuisine. The menu mainly contains of fish and seafood dishes, but paella and a limited number of meat dishes are available as well. The meals are tasty and sufficiently large. Service is friendly and the prices are correct.This restaurant is located on the beach promenade, offering a nice view over the sea from the large covered terrace. But also inside it is pleasant dining, in a cozy design linked with ships.

.....then this is the place to visit. It is a little dearer than most but the food is superior. We had a salad and a huge seafood platter between 3 of us. With 5 glasses of wine and water, it came to â¬58 so not too expensive. Fabulous quality food.

Stopped for a bit of dinner and ended up having a delicious meal. Portions are on the large size so we just picked some dishes, stuck them in the middle of the table and tucked in. Perfect!

Really good Spanish-Mediterranean food! Had lobster, solomillo de ternera and solomillo de pato. Nice wines as well. Right in between chiringuito and fine dining. Nice premises, nice ambience. A good mix of classy, cosy and lively. Were here for a long lunch on a rainy and windy Sunday and could still sit âoutsideâ in the heated tent type of thing. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Recommend!

A must to try is the House Salad, a very special combination of flavours! The menu has many options and all are excellent as the owners work the restaurant, Emilio is front of the house and his lovely wife Lourdes is the chef. A huge bonus is that they are open all day long.

Great little beach and restaurant servingwell prepared ,traditional Spanish food .We shared a beautiful avocado and tomato salad.Good job we're garlic lovers!!!Then I had a fabulous grilled sea bass with potatoes and veggies. 2 companions had the pork tenderloin with goat cheese and caramelized onions.It looked and smelled delicious.Other member of our party had an excellent Gambas pil pil. Huge prawns in a piquant chilli and garlic sauce.This isn't fancy food but it's good value overlooking a pretty cove.

I found this restaurant on TA. Just opened when we arrived so grabbed a seat. Ordered two drinks and fish Tapas arrived. We then ordered fresh mullet and one more drink when linguini tapas were placed before us. Service was good with only one man behind the bar. When we were leaving around 9.30 pm the place was packed even spilling out onto the street. Good typical Spanish tapas bar. Everyone must go when in town.
