I came in for lunch with family. We were seated immediately and our drinks were served right away. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I ordered the surf and turf burger. It was simply amazing. The place was packed and noisy at lunch time but we did find a free table outside. Ice cream is good and they have lots of flavors. They also serve lunch.
I accidentally left my wallet there and did not realize it until two days later. The owner went above and beyond to contact me and nothing was missing. I'm told the owner grew up here and when the place needed a new owner or it would close, he bought it. The locals had nothing but kind words to say about him, so I was glad to patronize his business.

Okay. First off the name is brilliant. The cupcakes are delicious. The size is perfect. You don't feel guilty having two. My favorite birthday cake is blueberry torte. My mom surprised me with blueberry cheesecake cupcake. Great prices too.

A local coffee/tea/ smoothie stop which has high quality beverages. Many flavor combinations made to order. Sometimes get busy so u have to wait. Not a Starbucks for quickness and much better coffee/lattes.

And I always stay with the same decision - sweet crepes. I love that the lines continue since the expansion. Everyone knows how great this place is. You can eat breakfast, lunch and now even dinner select nights. If you are visiting the area, this is a must stop. If you live here and haven’t been, plan for it tomorrow!

My wife and I spent a day in Southern Pines and we asked a handful of local shop owners their suggestion on a favorite place to have lunch. When everyone's first choice was Sweet Basil, we followed their lead and we're not disappointed. We stopped in at 2:00 on fall Saturday and it was packed. My wife had the quesadilla and I chose the lunch special of chipotle chicken sandwich with fries. The food was delicious and the staff was great.

We love all the different kinds of pizza, and the lasagna. The bar is a nice place to sit if you’re just looking for a quick bite and a nice drink. Great wine list!

We recently went to Ashten's for my husband's birthday dinner. The restaurant's dining room was lovely and the service was pretty good. I liked the menu and that you could chose from both the bar menu and the dining room menu. We all wound up choosing something from the bar menu. The food was quite tasty as were the desserts. I think I would return, but head straight to the bar this time.
