Red Mountain Coffee

Stopped here after packing up our campground and heading home. It was a tasty latte. It was extra hot, without even asking which I greatly appreciate. My daughter had a kids hot chocolate which she said was good. Service was prompt but not super welcoming.

Commonwealth

Reviewed By Marco W - Seattle, WA

There aren't a lot of great restaurants in the Snoqualmie Pass area. We tried the Commonwealth end it may be our new favorite.

It's not a large place but offers serviced casual dining with a full bar and bar seating on one side. They have a relationship with DruBru which is down two doors in the same building. You can get both foods at either location.

The menu at the Commonwealth is classic American casual with a variety of soups, sandwiches and burgers and chicken. The prices are reasonable and the portions are fine.

There are a fair amount of kids while we were there which puts this clearly in the casual dining category. If you're looking for a place to relax and have a meal with a friend, give this a try.

We were happy with the food although the toasted cheese and tomato soup combo was a bit bland for us.

Dru Bru

Reviewed By fyrguy - Portland, Oregon

The valet at the hotel we stayed at recommended this brewery after we found the local one a little ho-hum. Dru Bru had great beer and atmosphere, we were there outside of the ski season and they were still fairly busy. Food could be ordered from the restaurant next door and they delivered it when it was ready.

This place was a great find for us and we will definitely be back!

Aardvark Express

Eating from Dan's food truck is an experience. First of all, the food is excellent. Really.

Dan prides himself on making high quality peasant food, with his curries his absolute specialty, which my partner enjoyed. I had a burger instead and that was great.

Two things are super special. First, Dan will make anything you want, any variation of anything on the menu. For me, I avoid cheese so he added apple and beet to my burger. Genius. And his homemade bbq sauce and salsa are a triumph.

Next, it's Dan himself. He's a character. He loves his fresh food and his business and his customers. He'll potentially talk the leg off an iron pot. And you will leave satiated and smiling.

When in Snoqualmie Pass, it would be criminal not to eat his food.

My family ate here while staying at a nearby house for Christmas. There were good choices on the menu. Something for everyone, however the service was slow. Typical bad waiter. He kept going outside to smoke and would leave the door open. Very cold. He put our food down and split. Some of us had no silverware. I had to go get it and was told they had very little cleaned. Food was just OK. The bathrooms were trashed. Paper all over the floor and full toilets. Hope the kitchen did not look that way but you know what they say about dirty bathrooms in a restaurant...

Two large pizzas--one with garlic, mushroom, and gargonzola, the other with garlic, mushroom, and salami. Alas, no anchovies on the menu. AND, the thin crust was excellent, the sauce zesty, the ingredients fresh, and the pizza great. Definitely worth the stop if you are at Snoqualmie Pass. Pizza by the slice also available at a very good price.

American food.Breakfast, Pancakes, Waffles, Swedish Pancakes.Lunch specials from hamburgers to sandwiches.Side Teriyaki and Dinner menu available.

Reviewed By freelancesteve - Bellevue, Washington

We were looking forward to a good breakfast as we headed over the pass. What a disappointment. The Redmond Pancake House has great Swedish pancakes; my wife's favorite. She ordered here and received thick pancakes, rolled correctly with a small dopple of "lingonberry" butter...no berries or dusting of powdered sugar. (Despite the menu photo of the pancakes with berries on top.) We asked the waiter for berries and he acted as if that was most unusual but complied with the request. However, even the berries couldn't make up for the thick, clunky pancakes.

I went with classic buttermilk pancakes. How could they mess them up? Well, they did. First they were relatively heavy. Second, they were tinted yellow. The waiter indicated they put yellow coloring in to give them a "buttermilk" look. Nice try.

My advice? Eat before you head over the pass and be sure to pass on the Family Pancake House.

This was a great choice for an excellent breakfast! The venue was clean, restrooms included contrary to another review. Wait staff was courteous. Our coffee cups were never low. The I-90 breakfast was wonderful - in quality and quantity.
We highly recommend eating here before a day on the snow!!

My children and I were passing though Snoqualmie Pass in October, it just happened to be snowing this day, which is rare for this time of year. As you can expect my kids were beyond ecstatic. We stopped in the Summit Inn parking lot so that they could get out and throw a few snow balls before we got back on the road for a few more hours drive. We needed to use the restroom while stopped so went inside. Because the snow season hadn't started all but one of the establishments inside was completely closed down. It was a complete ghost town, with no one in sight. We used the restrooms which were also completely empty but on our way back to the car was stopped by an employee who wanted to inform us that restrooms are only for customers of the ONE restaurant that was open which no one was eating at. She then told me that next time we are in town we need to travel a mile down the road to use public bathrooms. This left me flabbergasted as there were no patrons in sight but yet we were some sort of burden to their establishment!!!
