Was pointed towards this donut shop by friend of mine, and it was a great choice. Plenty of variety in their donut selection, even a couple with bacon bits on the top. No, not this time. :-) Whenever I visit a new place, I see how good their simple glazed donuts are and their cinnamon twists. These pretty tasty! My sons had a few other varieties that were gone in no time, so they also must have been pretty good.

I wonder if they could make the kinds of kolaches that you find in Texas??

We were spending a night in the Holiday Inn Express down the street and wanted to get some dinner to take back to our room. We came here because the reviews were good and it was convenient to our hotel. The hostess who took out order was cheerful and friendly. Our food was ready pretty quickly. My husband ordered the egg roll, pork fried rice, almond chicken combo and I ordered the prawns, chicken chow mein and sweet/sour pork combo. Each came with egg drop soup as well. The portions were huge, the price reasonable. Everything was tasty. If we lived here, we would be regulars.

This is the popular place to get delicious doughnuts so get there early before there gone . . . Especially on the weekends. The place is small in space but big on friendliness. Give them a try you'll be glad you did.

Pizza Plus

We went here for an early supper with our grandkids and their parents while we were visiting. Good thing we got there early--just before 5 pm--or I don't think we would have found a table. The place was jammed, and it looked like the take-out crowd was much larger than those eating in. So, as you'd expect, the noise level was high with lots of older teens and young adults trying to overtalk each other, some throwing up gang signs to other tables. No problem if all you want to do is pigout on pizza, but if you want to carry on a conversation while you eat, take-out is probably a better choice.

Everyone in the place seemed to love the pizza based on the way they were wolfing it down, and our local family members raved about it. We, however, felt differently. We've eaten every type of pizza served in the U.S. and Italy, and like all--well most--when they're done well. The pizzas here were loaded with toppings, probably the most toppings we've ever seen on pizzas. However, the crusts here were even doughier than Domino's--which is one of our least favorite pizzas--and was made even less appealing by being soaked in the overwhelming grease that dripped from the cooked toppings.

That said, to each his own, and the people who live here love this pizza. It's just not for us.

We went here after our granddaughter's volleyball game. I was looking forward to a good dinner with hubby, granddaughter and our son-in-law.
Our granddaughter liked her omelette, our son-in-law had a really good tri tip sandwich, my burger was good, (but dry). Hubby ordered the meatloaf. Here's the rub.. The mashed potatoes were looked pretty dry, the gravy looked like chocolate pudding and the meatloaf (one slice of it) on one side was burned. The burned side was face down so you couldn't tell until you either cut into it or turned it over. He called to the server's attention. She did apologize and offered to get him another one, but since the cornbread came late he figured he wouldn't have it replaced.
I hope they fix these things and anything else that might be wrong or we won't return.

When I entered the restaurant, there was nobody there to seat me. There were a number of tables and chairs of various types and sizes scattered around. There were about 3 tables with other diners eating dinner. I stood at the front counter for a while until someone finally emerged from the kitchen. He gave me a menu and told me to sit anywhere. He came to the table with some chips and salsa. The salsa was tasteless. My entree (Mole Poblano) had just the right amount of spice and was good. Unfortunately the initial service, the salsa and the decor detracted from the entree enough to not justify a higher rating. Despite those issues, I would probably visit again to try another menu item. (I might skip the salsa.)

Starbucks is always great coffee.
I shouldn't let politics interfere with that, but I do. Finding out the ceo of Starbucks is backing Hillery dismays me considerably. Now I wonder if my coffee money is in part going to her 'election'. From now on, I think I'll find another coffee shop.

My husband recently found out about this place from a friend. It was hard to believe him when he told me that we would actually share a breakfast with me..That has never happened before. He is a big eater. After I saw the size of that country fried steak, I knew why. Breakfast comes with three eggs, hashbrowns and a huge biscuit with gravy. We shared the biscuit and there was still plenty left over. This place is a small town cafe, not fancy. It's the kind of diner we enjoy. I told my husband that I wish I would've taken a picture of our split breakfast. Instead, I remembered to take a picture of the amount that was left after we both ate so much. I have no doubt that this place will become a special favorite in our future.

This is a really nice restaurant when you're judging the food and the staff, but the atmosphere is horrible. The ceilings are very low so the acoustics are terrible as you can hear every single person in the restaurant talking. And drove drunk people or even louder than normal. Having said that, The service was absolutely excellent. The manager stayed on top of everything. The food was great. It came quickly and it was very hot. Cannot say anything bad about the food or the service, but as stated, it was very loud and you could hear people talking all over the place. It sounded like we were at a concert!
