Chianti Grill

This should’ve been a lovely experience, but we got off to the wrong foot when the waiter delivered the wrong beer. He seemed a little aloof and surly after that. He unloaded a pile of parmesan on my salad, sprinkling the table too, and took his sweet old time getting us the bill. I must admit, though, that the food was rather tasty and not very expensive and well apportioned. We may go back and try it again with a different server.

We really like Porterhouse. Quiet warm atmosphere and friendly faces. Service is excellent. Reservations suggested. Ribeye was awesome. I really enjoyed it. A few of us had walleye which they said was great and one of us had the beef tenderloin appetizer. Also, the spinach salad with warm bacon dressing was outstanding.

Lindey's Prime Steak House

Reviewed By Zach J - Bismarck, North Dakota

This was a hidden gem in a rather residential area. Very limited menu but steak was great (Lindsey's Special Sirloin), the salad was okay, garlic bread was great and plentiful, and cheesecake was pretty decent too! It's pretty reasonably priced as well. My only criticism was the lack of wine selection and no reservations are taken, but small flaws in a great place.

Stouts Pub

Reviewed By TryppAdams - Minneapolis, Minnesota

I stopped in for a beer and something to eat while I watched some football. They have a $3 Bent Moar English IPA by Bent Brewstillery on tap which was alright and surprisingly affordable. I asked the waitress about their nachos and Alicia said they were good... what came out where cheesy tortilla chips with some tomato pieces and jalapeño slices and a side of salsa and sour cream. These nachos were pretty weak in my book. Service was good, atmosphere is great, clean, updated interior. I would just suggest something besides the nachos.

Old World Pizza when in Bemidji........stir fry terryaki chicken salad when in Shoreview. The bread and butter are even special.

Seriously the pizza is the best because it is so substantial and there is more cheese than runny tomato sauce (tomatoes are under there, though).
I just like eating that by the lake in Bemidji......

The stir fried chicken salad in Shoreview was take-out for us and was unbelievable, containing all my favorites: stir-fried chicken, mushrooms, onions, brocolli, fresh pea pods! All in a nice teriyaki sauce. All on the bed of lettuce with fried noodles and some kind of nuts. So so good.

I record, these in my phone notes—we go back often!

Tongue in Cheek

Reviewed By karajake - St. Paul, MN

We went to Tongue in Cheek for my birthday. It is a small but funky venue so make reservations! My husband and son each tried a “one bite” appetizer that were flavor explosions! Then we shared the veggie inspired thai salad (will totally get that again!!) and pork tacos. Great combination of flavors! My son got a burger which he also thoroughly enjoyed and he is also “a foodie”. He loved the made to order non-alcoholic beverages and I enjoyed the cocktail flight! So unique and very different tastes! Definitely recommend!

Granite City Food & Brewery

Expected a typical pub menu, found so many choices for everyone’s taste. Great flavors in all our entree’s from salads to steak. Nice dining area with plenty of room for any size group. For Christmas Eve wouldn’t have expected anyone working to be very happy however our service from Megann was outstanding. So helpful and pleasant, will look forward to returning. Convenient to shopping as it’s next to Rosedale mall.

Chimborazo

Reviewed By PVVVV - Minnetonka, Minnesota

We found Chimborazo written about in a book of unique restaurants in Minneapolis. We are fortunate in the north land to have a number of really good restaurants and as amateur foodies, my wife and I have been fortunate to enjoy many of them, but we wanted to widen our perspective and experience.

We dined at Chimborazo on a cold Wednesday evening in mid February arriving at about 7:45 PM and the place was very busy. The food grabs your attention with delicious flavors and the diners all seem to be enjoying themselves and speaking loudly! It has a very Latin America flair and personality for Minnesota! I really liked everything about it.

To our surprise Wednesday night offers a date night special with two entrées and a bottle of wine for $35.! This is absolutely the best value in the Twin Cities! The QPV is off the charts! I had the beef and my wife had chicken. Normally we're good about sharing, but this night we really wanted to enjoy every bite of what was on the plate in front of us. We will definitely be going back many times! The tres leches was delicious too.

The Tavern Grill

Reviewed By Bruce L - Minneapolis, Minnesota

Went out for supper with my older children. Larger somewhat loud space. A bit of a wait to get seated despite using their call ahead to get in line program. I had the Monterey Shrimp which was good but quite under salted and seasoned. My daughter's Turkey wrap she found unappetizing. My son's burger was good as well as my wife's salmon. Though we did not use them they have build your own salad and burger menus. Service was very good. Beer selection was very average with the standard domestics along with a several standard craft beers. I would recommend this restaurant for a good commercial standard tavern experience. No surprises no real disappointments. Defiantly use the call ahead option for busier times.

Good Earth - Roseville

That's why we cook in harmony with the seasons. And why we're fanatical about freshness and passionate about purity. It's why we're partial to local growers and organic suppliers; and anti-factory farming, hormones and antibiotics. Responsibly grown ingredients, carefully handled and lovingly prepared, are better for our health. They're better for the environment. And - more than anything else - they just taste better. Naturally. Maybe that's why Citysearch.Com counseled health-minded diners to come to the Good Earth for food that's "so good, so natural, so close to the earth," writes Citysearch.Com, "that it doesn't need much augmentation." Good Earth receives plenty of adulation, however. From the critics who praise the quality of our ingredients to the event planners who favor our delicious party platters, legions of loyal guests make Good Earth their first choice for hearty, healthy everyday eating.

I come here regularly for lunch. It's not inexpensive but not outrageous and the food is always very good. Lunch reservations are a must for this location and the parking lot is usually full, so be prepared to park on the street or in the neighboring lot. The service can be friendly or reserved, which is fine since I usually just want to visit with my lunch mate. It's like a mix between LL Bean and ladies who lunch.
