Raimondo's Restaurant

While stopping for a highway break in Roscoe NY, we had lunch at Raimondo's Restaurant & Pizzeria. It was noon on Sunday and they were doing a brisk business. The dining room is very clean and comfortable and the menu has a nice variety of choices. We ordered pizza, chicken parm hero, chicken Caesar salad, penne ala vodka, French onion soup and a hot Turkey platter. All the food was very good although the service was a little slow. Certainly a good place to stop for lunch when you need a break from driving.

it's a CASH ONLY restaurant. kinda tough when traveling. don't know if ATM was available, as i saw no signs or one offered by the staff.
food was mediocre pub food.
good 1/2 burgers done to correct temperature also ordered onion rings which were ok. my husband ordered the fried shrimp basket with fries and both items were over-fried. don't know if this is the norm for that item or similar.
the Guinness was good!
we sat outside, which included, at that time this past Saturday, of 1-4 top table and 1 round picnic table seating 6 adults, both had umbrellas.
the restaurant is on a country road and was quiet with lots of birds, we even saw a doe across the way.
we had Shelby as our server and she was good and attentive to us being outside.
can't speak for inside dining, but if you're in that area, it's a good pit stop and no other eatery is near by.

People come from all areas of the county for these baked goodies and breads. Lovely and tasty German pastries, Delish breads and bagels. Nice soups and savory pastries also, so good for brunch. Also pies! And a favorite gift I get here is the chocolate bars.

We had dinner at the Arnold House and were delighted with the excellent service my Dakota.. She was friendly, quick and on pint with service.

A wedding was going on in the barn offering a festive atmosphere as we were seated on the deck.

The food was good and we enjoyed ourselves.

Would go back again.

Roscoe Diner

Listen folks. Look at the sign. Check out the pictures. This is a Diner. 'World Famous" doesn't mean 'World's Best Scrambled Eggs' or 'The Cleanest Restrooms in NY'. It's a great, old-school diner, serving good value, reliable staple meals served up relatively fast by friendly staff. There's still a place in this market for road side stops. Nice road side stops. For meal or just a slice of pie. TIP: If it looks like a diner, smells like a diner then there's a good chance the Roscoe Diner is not a gourmet, 5 star, brunch cafe in the East Village. I hope this news is helpful to some.

Main Street Farm

Main Street Farm, market cafe, features small local organic farms and food artisans. Our cafe prepares house made sandwiches, salads, soups, and sides using fresh market ingredients. We serve Irving Farm coffee with local Tonjes Dairy Farm milk. Cold Brew coffee, tea, and kombucha on draft. Also offering local assortment of Catskill beer, wine, cider.

My wife stopped by for lunch on our way to Binghamton.
Be careful looking at the menu...with the sandwich and soup combo you really only get a cookie for free...the sandwich and soup are ala carte.

I had the Manor. Tastey overall...fresh...crusty bread... It had a very thin slice of proscuitto.and was small in stature with no little extra touches.
My wife had the soup and sandwich combo...$6.50 soup and pulled chicken sandwich. Again...fresh ingredients, not bad, but over-priced for such small portions.
Not worth the money compared to other lunch stops.

My sister and I went specifically to this restaurant because of the great reviews, we were not greatly impressed. I think if we'd been fishermen, the waitress would have paid better attention to our table. The food was OK, but nothing special. There are very few decent restaurants in the area, and because of that, the place is busy... mostly with fishermen.

four of us stopped in for dinner when our destination restaurant was closed. things started off a bit rocky when we couldn't find someone to seat us, but as soon as a wait person was found things improved quickly. the salad bar and drinks were okay, but all four of our entrees were just perfect. three of us had steaks (one strip and two rib eye specials) that were perfectly cooked, huge, and nicely flavored; mine was the best steak i've eaten in a couple of years. will stop back next time i am in the area for sure.

The Catskill Brewery

Reviewed By VicEdee - New York City

This is a beautiful new facility, just off Main Street, in Livingston Manor, NY - just off Exit 96 of the Quickway/Route 17W, and it is definitely worth a visit!
Excellent local draft beers, in a well-designed environment. (my personal favorite is the Devil's Path IPA)
Pleasant-enough tasting area within the big barn of vats, the tall bar stool are uncomfortable and there is NO FOOD available (many people were expecting to be able to eat also...) The popcorn is only offered very stingily (?)

So, in my opinion:
5-stars for this beautiful new, very well-designed addition to this part of the Catskills, and the beer is also very good (4 stars),
BUT there is NOT much to do besides a brief tasting (or re-fill of your growlers) and the tasting room is not very comfortable / staff is just pleasant enough, nothing special. (all 3-stars)

Overall, I average this to 4-stars,
BUT I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND a Visit, and support of this business, and this investment, in our Sullivan County Catskills!

Welcome Catskill Brewery, well done!
