This place has some great sandwiches and salads. The staff is always nice and the place is clean. The prices are higher than other sandwich shops, but it worth it. The shop is located along the street in and fairly old building, it's quite nice to sit and watch outside as you enjoy your lunch.
If you in the area, give it a try I think you would like it.

We had a lovely relaxed meal at this Bistro on our get away weekend. The service was fast, but not rushed between courses. My husband could have made a meal with the delicious bread they served which came from a local source. My husband had the special which was roasted loin of local lamb and it melted in his mouth. My appetizer was tomato soup which was delicious and not too acidic, and I had rabbit which had been boned . Everything served was local and very fresh. We highly recommend this restaurant. You can tell it's good because it's a favorite with the locals.

I visited the new Chef’s Corner in Williston this pouring rain afternoon at about 1:30 this afternoon. First the good news is that even though you our off the beaten track for someone from Colchester your new restaurant looks amazing.
Now for the bad news I visited Chefs’ Corner for a simple baguette to enjoy with my meal this evening, I was told by your staff that your baguettes where needed to make sandwiches for today’s special what aren’t I a customer don’t you offer other bread choices? So it was not a total loss a drove to lower Main ST in Burlington and found a new source for a wonderful baguette and they were happy to sell it to me, yes I do know about Flynn Ave. This may not sound like a big deal to you folks at Chef’s Corner but why go out of my way to be turned away at the door this is no way to treat a customer.

We were really looking forward to eating here because the menu looked great and we had heard some encouraging recommendations from friends. Sadly, I'm not sure we will return. The waitress seemed disinterested, and possibly even bothered, having to serve us though there were 3 girls working and only 5 tables full at noon totalling less than 10 customers total. She never came to refill our waters or sodas (at $3 for an "endless" glass that was annoying) until she came to clear our plates when they were empty. The clam chowder was bland as were the biscuits. The chicken dishes were very tasty though so if you're here I highly recommend seeking out one of those because at least the food was good. Lunch ended up costing nearly $50 and we left without dessert because of the service.

Sweet Simone's just recently opened for dinner Monday nights. We thought we would give it a try. We were delighted with the conversion from daytime cafe to nighttime atmosphere! Twinkling candle light, waitresses in black uniforms, music . Wine and beer is also available at night. The art on the walls was beautiful Monday night as well. The talented chef served us up his creations heaped in family style servings. We started with crisp crostini, covered in creamy cheese and roasted veggies. Then out came a fresh salad with beets, seeds, greens and topped off with a bright red flower and little purple sprigs! So pretty. The chicken had a great sauce, over home made tagetelli. Poached pears, drizzled with caramel, sprinkled with nuts, on ice cream with a shortbread cookie finished off the meal. All for $20.00 !! Wow.

My wife and I were here in January and we stopped in for lunch again today for what turned out to be a better meal. I had the pulled pork sandwich which comes on a large bun and my wife had the mac and cheese, served in a small cast iron pan. My pulled pork was very tasty, although the pork was too thinly shredded compared to my expectations but my wife's mac and cheese was quite good and more than enough for lunch. Note that the pulled pork comes with cole slaw on the sandwich which I don't care for but, since I asked in advance, I was able to get it on the side. I also ordered sweet potato fries instead of the regular fries and these were very good as well. Today's meal rates 4 out of 5 versus 3 the last time we visited so I guess we'll be back again sometime in the future.

Happened upon this place purely by accident. Glad we decided to stop and stretch our legs. I always love wandering around Vermont country stores, and this one was no different. It's smaller than many, but crammed with all kinds of treasures. The deli offers awesome sandwiches on homemade bread with Boar's Head meats, they have soft serve ice cream (very thick and tasty), "penny candy" jars, tacky Vermont souvenirs, maple syrup, and two gas pumps outside that are $.50 more per gallon than everywhere else in the state - and they are the old style pumps where the price clicks up manually one digit at a time. I didn't think any of those were still active!

l stopped into the Parkside Kitchen in Richmond while traveling the byway of Rt. 2. The food was amazing. I had the BLT with fresh tomatoes and ample bacon, along with salted maple fries. My partner had the 3-cheese grilled cheese sandwich with regular fries....MoreHi RootBeerFloat, thank you for the review. We’re glad you had a great time at parkside kitchen. Please come back again soon! Thank you, Lara

Legendary Food, Legendary Service
I highly recommend you call ahead and get your name on the list. Great appetizers and even better are the warm rolls, the service was so so and the entrees arrived at a reasonable time. The food is priced well and the portions are huge.

We've had a few good meals here, but nothing that draws us back on a regular basis. The pretzel knots are good, the rest of the menu has been so so, except for dinner we had one night that all four in our party absolutely loved. I consistently find myself unable to be lured in by anything on the menu - a rarity for me. So I have another beer off their excellent beer list and call it good. When paying for local, high quality ingredients the food should be excellent, all the time. Hatchet should figure out what it can do well, and do it. It's yet to figure out what that is, but it has great potential to do so.
