Smurawa's Country Bakery

Wish we had stopped here years ago! We drive within 5 miles of the place on our way to our cabin and we never pulled off the highway before to check it out. Tried an assortment of cookies and morning pastries and everything was extraordinary. But the jelly roll donut things (pushkis?) are just out of this world. So light and fluffy!

This place is a combination of bizarre and amazing....but there is no question that it is worth visiting because of the food. Make sure to check out the ceiling fans, which actually work. Almost everywhere you look is something that was welded together for purpose, including the paper towel holders on the tables. I hope to visit again for sure!

Jen's Knaughty Pine Bar & Grill

Reviewed By 724snowman - Wisconsin

I just went to Jens Knaughty Pines yesterday with my wife and her sister and husband. Jens location being right off of Hwy 29 at the Angelica, Pulaski exit makes it really convenient to go grab a cold drink, sandwich or fish fry.

With it being around lunchtime on a Saturday they were packed and they still managed to get your drink order right and quick as were not in a hurry and wanted to kickback and relax and chat.

I started with a bloody mary and a beer chaser as well as the others, and they were excellent. Grabbed a few menus and I was astonished at the different types of side orders and sandwiches, fish fry options, pizza and more that she offers.

We all ordered as Jen herself came over to take our order and she was great. With her being the owner she was great with giving us some ideas as she has some special sides I have not anywhere around the area.

I myself had the Knaught Pine burger combo, which is a beef patty, brat patty and I added cheese. I chose the southwest tater cheese tots, which I never had before, so I was not sure what to expect. My wife and the brother in-law had the Mushroom Swiss burgers. All of our sandwiches came of the char grill and the char grill flavor is what put them over top in flavor and taste.

The Southwest cheese tators are like having best of all three sides, with cheese, green or jalapeno peppers and fires all combined into one little piece of perfection.

The food quality is excellent and some of the best anywhere we have ever had. Now when you add a fun type atmosphere with some sports on the TV a great conversation, some pool if you want you have a great getaway that's hard to beat for a getaway for day trip.

Jen herself a vey down to earth person and takes pride in her business and she wants to make sure your a satisfied customer and wants to comeback. Overall I give Jens Knaughty Pines a big thumbs up In all areas from food, drink, customer service and appreciation. Businesses like this one are ones that as you can see when you visit do well and should grow well into the future.

Go enjoy :O)

Rustique has a relaxing atmosphere summer or winter, very pleasant and attentive wait staff, and delicious food. I've enjoyed everything I've ordered there... pizza, bruchetta, pesto fries, and my favorite is their Cuban sandwich.

The food is always good with a staff and owners who know how to please their customers. I know DQ is a fast food restaurant but without a pleasant and efficient staff eating fast food can be a chore. The owners are committed to being community oriented!

What a pleasant surprise! Pulaski has long awaited a top quality restaurant. The atmosphere is a wonderful change from its former looks. Everything is bright, comfortable and inviting. The waitstaff is friendly and personable. We had the buffet which had many mouthwatering selections (Shrimp - prepared three ways, Fish at least three ways, Sirloin Tips and Chicken - several types of potatoes just to mention some of the items). Everything I tried was very good! And the price was very reasonable!

Recently changed it's ownership and is now known as the Pulaski Kitchen.
Stopped in for dinner with my wife and parents. The place was clean and warm. We were greeted promptly and seated quickly. Staff was friendly and efficient.
We all had the broasted chicken special which came with mashed potatoes, a vegetable, and soup or salad. The soup was homemade and very good. Each plate came with four pieces of chicken, two breasts and two wings.
The food was hot and fresh. More than enough for most people. We all took some leftovers home. The pie looked very good and is made fresh in house. Too full to try it though.
Decent place to get a good meal.

Unless you're a local or know one, you may not come across this gem. Place was packed in a Wednesday night and loud. Service was good and the meal exceptional. Fresh vegetables done perfect. We all had steaks they were prepared as ordered and very tender.

Decent wine list and large selection of Rye at the small bar. Well worth the short drive from downtown GB.

Normally very good subway food in a clean updated building however, sometimes it is very very slow if you are in a rush.
