Bluebird Coffee House

Reviewed By ChanEvan - Memphis, Tennessee

Bluebird Coffee House is set in a beautifully renovated 2-story Victorian home built in the early 1900s.

Ambiance is uncontested.

Served on a Ciabatta Roll, the Chicken Pesto Club Sandwich was delicious & filling.

Mayo was on the top bun & fresh Pesto on the bottom. Mild orange peppers complemented the chicken breasts.

On the side:: Black bean tortilla chips / fresh raspberries / grape cluster / orange slice

Ginger Peach Tea was refreshing ~ flavored & just a bit of sweet.

I've enjoyed lunch here several times & ❤️ the fresh creations, such as the Lime Pork Sandwich / Greek Salad / Quiche Lorraine / Mediterranean Plate /

Prices:: $6.25~$7.50

Definitely hit a niche in this small town.

The Coffee menu board includes Lattes / Expresso / Flavored Hot Teas / Smoothies /

I don't drink coffee ~ but I've seen quite a few cars parked nearby in the mornings.

I've always enjoyed Baskin-Robbins ice cream. They have a good spectrum of flavors and they're great. A tad pricier than others though. We stopped by this place while traveling to St. Louis from Sherwood, Arkansas.

We love this restaurant. The staff is most accommodating as well and the owners are very personally involved with everyone visiting the restaurant. The food is delicious and serving sizes are well above average at a great price. Couldn't ask for more!

Junction 166

Reviewed By ArkansasEagle - Midway, Arkansas

I went with a friend for a doctors appointment he had in Pocahontas. I check trip advisor for the reviews of the area restaurants and we chose Junction 166.

To be fair, I must have misread the review because I thought they had a salad bar and they told me they did not.

I had the catfish dinner and my friend ordered breakfast items a la cart. I was disappointed in my meal because the restaurants near me in Mountain Home serve far larger pieces of catfish for the same price. Also, my friend had two pancakes, two sausage and two eggs-they were extremely small eggs and I was quite shocked by the price of almost $20 considering I had water and my friend had sweet tea.

The waitress was friendly enough and I cannot complain about the quality of food -It was delicious and served hot.

Green Acres Market

Love, love, love this store/restaurant! They either have everything you need/want or they can get it for you. We stopped here almost every morning (working in the area) we were there. She made us breakfast or a wonderful smoothie. Certain days she packed a lunch for us to take with. Rhea (the owner) was fantastic! She and Mary were very knowledgable about health foods and health issues. We were so happy to find this nice place among all the fast food and mediocre places that abounded in this location. During the weeks (about 5-6) that we were in the area we either bought the food in her store or ate right on the premises. Thankfully we ate elsewhere just a few times. I would very HIGHLY recommend Green Acres Market for the food, prices and service! We could even buy things here that we couldn't find at Whole Foods Market!

Stopped here to grab something to eat and use the bathroom while passing through Pochohantas. This looks like a relatively new restaurant. The workers were friendly and dining and condiment area in order. The clean ladies bathroom had 2 stalls, working soap and paper towel dispensers, and hot water! I worry when I visit a restaurant and there is no soap, non-working soap dispensers and paper towel holders. How are the workers cleaning their hands???? I don't buy food at places like that.
Thanks Wendy's in Pochohantas! I was able to use the bathroom, wash my hands and enjoy a very fresh spicy chicken sandwich and fries! It was yummy!

Kentucky Fried Chicken, or KFC as it is currently known, is the same everywhere in the United States. It's consistently finger lickin' goodness is what makes it nationally if not internationally popular. The one difference in the Pocahontas KFC is that it has a buffet where so many other KFCs do not. The KFC buffet is a bargain costing less than $7 to eat oneself into a glutinous stupor on the best chicken to be had in American. One little problem, however. The sides on the buffet often outlive their usefulness and lose their appeal, The livers turn into gravel and the desserts become something more resembling a fruit leather. I realize it's a waste but to keep the food on the buffet fresh and appetizing it needs to be rotated. Furthermore, your extra-crispy recipe is out-consumed by the original recipe by a considerable margin and you have to ensure a plentiful supply of original recipe. I love it that some of your sides are items not to be found on your regular menu. Hominy, for example.
I remember the days long ago when the Colonel also sold shrimp. Aren't you glad those days are past?
