We hadn't been here in 20 years and it has been remodeled and looks great. The staff were friendly and it's clean. Shrimp fajitas for one was a great choice and actually could have shared as I did take a to go box home. Loved the two salsas served as well but liked the tomatillo sauce the best, though my husband prefers the red salsa. He had the shrimp enchiladas with ranchera sauce though he prefers it with the sour cream and cheese sauce. But overall it was a great place to it 20 years ago and still is quite good.

Typically I love DQ. But I've been here 2 times in a row seperated by a month and no soft serve ice cream! What is a DQ meal without an ice cream treat? Food is about typical for DQ. Bathrooms were not well kept.

This was the second time to the convenience store that includes a kitchen that serves Mexican and Vietnamese food. Everything was good and inexpensive. This time - Vietnamese! The chicken pho was fresh and hot with delicious herbs and the pork bahn mi was solid - not the best I have ever had but seasoned well. I wish there were a few more vegetables on the crusty bread. The staff and owner were super nice. Stop here when in Palacios!

Tran’s is an excellent Vietnamese restaurant, on par with Tan Dinh in New Orleans – not faint praise. They are also expeditious, serving you order rather quickly. My favorite dish is the grilled pork, veggies, fish sauce and vermicelli noodles - Bún Thịt Nướng if you are ordering without translation at another Vietnamese restaurant. No cucumbers, shredded peanuts or perilla, but for $8.50 this is quite the deal. Also, if you arrive on a Friday about 11:30, you can observe the local gentry filter in. Locals know good food, know each other and are fun to watch interact.

We went here on the recommendation of a local; the food was a 4 but the service, horrendous! The building and interior are drab and dingy (maybe Hurricane Harvey?) but the server was indifferent, at best as was the owner. The Disney Channel was playing (really?!?!) the entire time. Grilled shrimp was excellent as were the hush puppies, gumbo ok and veggies very good...we would not return here.

Mi Casa is always our go to for Mexican food. I've never had anything bad there, and I've been there a lot! Service is always good and friendly.
The fajitas are delicious! I've only tried the beef fajitas, but I imagine the shrimp and chicken fajitas would be delicious! I've had the Spinach enchiladas and the cheese enchiladas. Both are amazing and the best I've ever had! Their nachos are also good! Sometimes the beans and rice need some salt and pepper, but that's the only thing I can think of that needs improvement.
If you've never ate at Mi Casa, you are missing out. Sure, there is another Mexican restaurant in Palacios, but it is not very good.

Hadn't had pizza in awhile so decided to give Simple Simon's a try. Ordered the Big 10 pizza with several meats and lots of veggies, for takeout. Called in the order on my way home from work and they said 25 minutes. Had an errand to run so got there in about 20 minutes. Pizza was hot and ready to go. It was excellent, and the crust was just like we like it.

We were visiting friends in the area and they took us to here for breakfast. I love different things for breakfast so I had the Gorditas stuffed with eggs and chorizo. What a breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer in the area I would have eaten there every morning. Do yourself a favor and go there for breakfast. I'm sure their other meals are good also but didn't have the opportunity to try them.
