Lively spot for lunch. We could talk and hear one another. Modern decor. Menu was mixed Spanish, Caribbean & Latin American food with interesting and tasty choices. Good drinks menu, too! We enjoyed it. In the heart of Castro St. area of Mt. View.

We had to try Chef Chu’s simply because it was rated the best restaurant in Los Altos on Trip Advisor. While we had a good meal it was not the best we had on our visit. There were five of us and we all ordered different entrees so that we had a variety. The pop stickers that we had to begin were very and we all enjoyed the tea. The shrimp with snow peas was the best entree. The food was good, the restaurant was crowded, prices were moderate, but there are other better places to eat in
Los Altos.

Great buzzing atmosphere and it's clearly very popular and during the weekend you are lucky to get a table (and they don't allow you to make reservations in advance). Food here was nice, I'd say that the presentation could be a little better as everything when it is presented seems to look the same no matter what you've ordered, would be great to see some more green veg on the plate! Other than that I can't fault it.

Lots of choices for vegetarian, Seafood and meat dishes. Particularly like the kobe spring rolls, bbq chicken and the coconut tapioca dessert. The curries are also very tasty. I've been here several times for the lunch buffet and the choices seem to be consistent.

Oren's Hummus Shop

Reviewed By Andrei S - Bucharest, Romania

We just returned from the place (4 people) and the overall impression is that it's average to good (not very good).

The service was friendly, provided useful details about the dishes and was reasonably quick even though the place was packed inside.

My hummus, even though was advertised to have extra garlic, it didn't. Was just the average mix of chickpea and tahini, I didn't sense any garlic (at all). Maybe they made a mistake and forgot to add it, but if they didn't then that's not garlic hummus.

The green shakshuka was a nice idea, but a good thing to have been asked would have been how well done the eggs are preferred. No such question and the eggs were too hard.

And the overall common feeling about the pitas was that "this is not a pita". Too doughy, too soft, too adapted.

Excellent Indian food, a lot of gluten free options between butter chicken, tandoori chicken and tandoori salmon, dhal etc but unfortunately the portions are too small for the 23$ price of one dish. Too bad, portions should really be a bit more generous, people would visit more often.

We stayed at Dinah's Garden Hotel for three nights recently, and enjoyed several meals at Dinah's Poolside Restaurant. As its name suggests, the restaurant overlooks the pool, which is surrounded by the hotel's beautiful, uniquely landscaped grounds. In addition to hotel guests, many others enjoyed brunch poolside, in particular the morning after the Stanford-Washington football game. Hotel guests might want to make reservations if they are staying at Dinah's on football weekends. The food was fantastic, including omelets and biscuits and gravy, Dishes were flavorful but not too heavy, and fresh fruit was offered as an alternative to hash browns. While breakfasts were great, we also enjoyed dinner one night. I had the lamb chops and my daughter enjoyed the classic fried chicken. Of course, I was thrilled to find Trader Vic's mai tai on the cocktail menu. It tasted as good as the ones I used to enjoy at Trader Vic's in Chicago. I will definitely stay at Dinah's again--and enjoy the Poolside Restaurnt-- if we visit the area again.

Went here for a late lunch after watching a movie nearby.
Sushi is fresh and well presented.
Located in a quieter area of downtown, this restaurant is a very good choice if you are in the area.
We have returned several times and would recommend this restaurant.

Centrally located on the famous Castro st in Mountainview, the food here is amazing. A variety of chaat items, appetizers rice and veg and non veg dishes. Chicken tandoori was well cooked to the bone and very flavorful. The chilli chicken was amazing. We tried dessert moong dal sweet it was one of the best ive tried.

We had very courteous servers and service was good.

Tip if your going with a baby/ toddler. The main seating area is crowded and if your baby needs that space you might want to ask for the back cubicles. We saw a few when we were walking towards the restrooms located at the back. We like to have some space since we have an overactive toddler. Wish we had known this we could have requested if there was an option available.

Strollers are kept at the entrance as no space in the main dining area.

Reserve your spot if your going. Wait times can be even 45 mins on a weekend. Parking is available in the public parking however during peak hours you may have to go in circles to find a spot.

Caltrain is a quick 5 -8 min walk to the restaurant .

Post lunch take a walk on castro street this place has so much energy any time you go.
