A spacious, clean and modern restaurant right on the interstate. Most visits to most Dairy Queens result in a LONG wait for your food. Not true of this DQ! The entire staff was friendly. The order was delivered quickly and as requested, and it was hot and freshly cooked. One of our favorite stops in the area. We do not have a DQ in our town. We will repeat visits! Thanks!!!

The food is good. The beef Barba oak and fajita beef were dry as the Sahara.
The chicken quesadillas were good, the sauce were good.
The server was atrocious. Kept arguing.
I ordered the chicken quesadillas sans beans and rice , she brought the dish with beans and rice.
Kept on telling me you can talk to owner. She is fit to be a steward, perhaps, a server, absolutely not.

The most wonderful little cafe has opened in Mount Vernon, Texas on Main Street. They serve home cooked meals with fresh, locally grown foods. The staff is friendly, the prices great, and everything is delicious.
The Chicken Fried Steak is quickly becoming legendary! And the desserts....oh, my!
You will love it!

Couples night out. The combo large pizza with jalapenos is great. Take home 4 slices for breakfast! The dinner salad is a perfect size with the pizza.

Stopped at this place while taking a cross country trip. The owner made us a yummy breakfast, all from scratch. She also told us stories of her family, their travels, & the history of the building. The food was amazing, the price was great, & the experience was wonderful. Skip the chains & eat here!

Passing by and needed a barbeque fix. Had the sliced beef sandwich with sauce. It was great and the amount of meat was very generous. (I did not say it was beef brisket but if you are in Texas, you know that is what sliced beef is.) Not much else to say. I believe it is a family operation because they are closed Sunday and Monday.

Nice little gem in East Texas. A break from the usual BBQ and Texas beef. In this out of the way pace, Ken Sal's provides great Asian dishes from Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, et al. The portions are more than generous and the taste is exquisite. The California Rolls are something to behold. They are large and made with cucumber, avocado, shrimp and a cream cheese the wrapped in a seaweed. The Korean BBQ steak is very flavorful as is the Vietnamese Shaking Beef. They also serve Sushi. Oh, and the cost is very inexpensive.

We rolled the dice on this one...and I dont agree with any of the negative reviews. The service was excellent, the food, even better. The chicken fajitas were great, refried beans excellent, rice just okay. Salsa and guacomole were perfect. Price for our family of 6 was about $65.

Ate lunch there one day around 11:15 not very busy however food was excellent. If you visit this location you might have to wait a bit for your food but it is freshly made. We also had breakfast there one morning which is served between nine and 11. Rate the place very good. They
