I waited a while to write this because I was uncertain how it would be accepted. However, because of the events of the last couple of months, my decision became easier. First, the food. To be honest, both my wife and I found the food to be average. I personally found the pancakes doughy. The service was excellent. Here was my concern. We both noticed that all the male staff were wearing long khakis while all the female staff were wearing shorts. When we inquired we were told that that was company policy. I guess we're a bit confused as to why the different dress codes for the staff members.

When in town visiting family, we stopped here for dinner one night. My parents love this place, and I can definitely see why. The menu is very diverse, and everything I tasted here was incredible. From the pizza to the breadsticks to the soups, it was high quality all around. The service was also very good. There was a wait when we arrived of about a half hour, but the wait was well worth it. Overall I would definitely suggest eating here.

Bobby Q

Bobby Q offers a culmination of barbeque favorites. Along with extensive barbecue research mixed with culinary expertise, the secret behind Bobby Q's barbeque lies within the slow cooking process over Tennessee hickory wood paired with the perfect blend of spices found in the special dry rub for the meat, as executed by barbeque master, Executive Chef Mark Hittle. This results in succulent hand-pulled pork, smoky sausage links, fork-tender brisket, and ribs that fall right off the bone. The starters will whet your appetite and the desserts will satiate your sweet-tooth cravings, but the barbecue is the show-stopper. Visit the newest location in Mesa for barbecue fare unlike any other.

On Saturday, Feb. 3, a friend and I stopped by Charleston's after a movie. We arrived just before 5 and were seated in the bar immediately. We had drinks (red wine for the evening was just right). My friend had the trout - grilled and she was very happy with the trout-less so with the mango sauce. I had baked potato and glazed carrots. The carrots are fantastic.
Our server was attentive but not overly protective so we could talk without constant interruption.
As we left, the wait to be seated was long.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for years but with us living in North Phoenix, it is hard to get over to Gilbert. We were in the area for an event, and decided to have lunch at the Liberty Market. I lived in Gilbert over 20 years ago and had not been back to the area for about 10 years. I was amazed at how much the area has grown, including the market. It is such a nice restaurant and the people that work there are so nice and friendly. I went into the restaurant while my husband parked and I started to look at a menu. A nice lady came over and offered assistance. She let me know that we could stand in line and order and then they would find us a table or we could just sit at the bar and we would be served there. When my husband came in, we decided to sit at the bar. The people that were working behind the bar, were all very nice. I ordered The Serious Grilled Cheese and I had a side of Rice Pudding. My husband ordered a plain burger with a side of the house made chips. We were both speechless as to how good our meals were. I love grilled cheese and this is probably the best grilled cheese I have ever had. 3 types of cheese, mayo and served on a bread that I only usually able to get in Puerto Rico, I was in heaven. The rice pudding was also delicious. My husband is a huge burger fan and felt the burger was very good as were the chips, which I tasted and agree were very good. I so wish this restaurant were closer to where we live as we would definitely be regulars. We may just have to make the almost hour trip there another day, because the food is so amazing.
