Hog Wild

We have eaten her on many occasions, mostly take out, but this place is AWESOME. Parking lot does get super busy, but food is definitely worth it. Best pork chops and portabella mushroom sandwich, they offer great sides, speedy, homemade service with large portions. You won't leave hungry & atmosphere is very fitting.

Aurelio's Pizza

Reviewed By Roger B - University Park, Florida

My wife celebrated her 50th class reunion and her class picked this pizza place. We even heard about it back home in Sarasota at Dillard's from a clerk! She was from there and said you guys are going to a great place! She was right! Not only could they handle regular Friday night clientele, they could also handle 165 of us with ease. Pretty impressive! All kinds of pizza and salad and we can't wait to tell the clerk!

Exsenator's Ribs & Chicken

Reviewed By mathgenius - TINLEY PARK

I have been buying BBQ from Exsenator's for at least 20 years. We average one visit per month, whenever we get a jones for some great "Que". All of his food is awesome. Prices have gone up somewhat, but who hasn't raised prices in the past ten years? Hot links are the best in the world, followed right behind by his mouth watering rib tips & half a BBQ chicken.

It is just a hole in the wall, but they sure know how to do great "Que"!! This is strictly carry-out, with plenty of free parking right outside the door. Just drive down 159th Street in Markham till ya smell that awesome smoke!! Much better hours now---even open for lunch. Can't recall if they do cards?---I always bring cash. They also have a nice carry-out menu, so we always call our orders in---takes 15 minutes, and I just so happen to live exactly 15 minutes away---perfect. And the sauces are superb---just right!! Fries aren't great, but then again, they aren't bad either. Dogs fight over the sopping Wonder bread slices & fries---but they get NO tips, links or chicken---too good to share. Lots of combos to help save you a few bucks! We are loyal customers!!!

Flossmoor Station Restaurant

Reviewed By Roger B - University Park, Florida

Whenever we visit Flossmoor, this time for a class reunion, I like to stop at the railroad station restaurant and have lunch or appetizers and beer. It is a brew pub too with onsite craft beer. Very good. I like the light lager best. They also make great burgers and fish. Try the perch sandwich. A real train roars by periodically and blocks the sunlight or watch the miniature train circle the bar. Fun!

Maple Tree Inn

Reviewed By funfunfunfunfunfun - Chicago, Illinois

First, I am a Cajun and grew up eating Cajun food and I cook Cajun food. I am very skeptical about any Cajun restaurant outside south-central Louisiana. This place is the real deal. I had both the gumbos - seafood and chicken/andouille and both were superb. The seafood had a rich broth and tons of fish, and the country gumbo was flavorful and not overly thick. The crawfish etouffee was rich with crawfish and the gravy had a luscious texture without being too rich and filling. The consistency of the soups and gravies was just like home, and the flavors were authentic. My only complaint was they did not serve cafe au lait. Oh by the way, the cocktails were phenomenal. This place is quite a drive from Chicago, but it was on a cute little street and the restaurant itself had a lovely character. I'll be back.

Tasty burgers, beef, and sausage sandwiches. Home of one of the best gyros I've ever eaten. Wonderful chocolate malts (hsh--don't tell my doctor!), super fries. Like many of these places, the décor is just average, but this place has always been CLEAN when I've eaten inside. Also, there are a couple of tables outside if one wants to watch the traffic speed by. Great place to visit!

Eggheadz Cafe

Reviewed By gms58 - Crestwood, Illinois

We had a Sunday morning breakfast here. The menu is pretty extensive with something for everyone. My wife is a vegetarian and had no trouble finding several choices to fit her needs. We both had egg dishes and pumpkin pancakes, which were outstanding. The service was very good and the food came out to our table very quickly. Prices were on point. The place was absolutely packed, so they must do something right here. It was our first visit but won't be our last. The only thing bad that I can say is that we were seated at a booth next to a window. It was a little cold and drafty being a cold February day but that won't stop us from coming back. We'll just avoid the window seats next time.
