Bread is usually hard but besides that it's just your usual sub. High school kids work here, so that is the quality you get.

The Wagon Trail

WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR THE SEASON AND WILL RE-OPEN IN APRIL.The owners decided to venture into the food industry after Nathan lost his job in December 2011. “We were looking for something we could do as a family.” The Sizemores have eight children from 3-21 years old. Some of the children help out with the restaurant. “Rebecca is our main baker; she loves it and she’s excellent." The name The Wagon Trail came about for a number of reasons. “We live in the Mennonite area and all the wagons go right down here, so it’s kind of the wagon trail. A lot of people eat here because they want to sit and watch the horse and buggies go by.” Secondly, Amy, born in Danville, and Nathan, born in Oregon, moved out here from the northwest state in 2005. They hit the wagon trail, so to speak.Top sellers are the 1/2 lb. burgers and gourmet sandwiches made on homemade buns which are baked fresh daily. Soups, chili, and other homemade concoctions top the list, as well as pizza, hot dogs, salads and desserts. Sides include made-to-order coleslaw, potato wedges, chips, and a few more seasonal veggies and fruit. The restaurant features various desserts such as four-berry sundaes, brownies and a variety of homemade pies offered daily as specials. Fruit shakes are available in season. Almost everything is made from scratch. We also have gluten-free wraps and can help you make heart healthy and diabetic friendly choices.Fridays are fish days! We've got the best tasting catfish dinner at the most reasonable price for counties around. With an abundance of produce grown nearby, it is purchased as close to the farm as it gets from Lavern's Country Market. And the wheat bread is made with fresh ground wheat grown organically by a neighbor Mennonite farmer. The western-theme building has covered picnic tables in front. A corn hole game and a couple sets of real horseshoes are set up to play. When the weather gets a bit chilly or breezy, come into the covered porch area and enjoy a relaxed meal with friends or new acquaintances. We are wheelchair accessible. If you have any special requests please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

I love this place. It is well worth the trip. Rustic theme is just wonderful. Chalkboard menu is adorable. I could sit here all day and watch the horse and buggies go by and look at the scenery. Extra friendly service. Can't wait to go...MoreThanks for taking time to write a review...they really do help! If there is anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable just let us know!

My family eats here ALL THE TIME! We have had many of the items on the menu and have never had a bad meal. The chicken fajitas are great as is the Jalisco if you like shrimp and chorizo with chicken and beef. We have had the shrimp, beef and chicken chimichangas as well as grilled chicken and rice and the grilled shrimp and rice. The taco salad is also good. Portions are large. Chips and salsa are very good! One of my favorite places to eat!!!!

If you are driving on 25E and don't like chains, then look for the Village Restaurant. This diner has a buffet lunch for $6.95. The day I was there one featured dish was a smoky sauerkraut and polish sausage. My husband had the just-out-of-the-fryer breaded pork sandwich. The Village is one of those few gems of highway travel.

Absolutely love escaping to the 49er. Sometimes for the 49er burger, fries and a Pepsi, almost always for a hot fudge cake, and sometimes for Rita's daily home cooked special. Love the outdoor seating. Perfect place to watch the sunset. Perfect place to sit with family and friends for heart to hearts. A must experience if you are in Liberty, KY!!!

I have used this Pizza Hut, many times, for buying customers multiple pizzas. No problems, as the servers / workers were most helpful, courteous, & capable. The pizza's had the desirable amount of ingredients as toppings, which can be an issue at some restaurants. I have & will be back here.

A hidden gem. Everything looks great and the food that I got was awesome. The service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be eating here almost every time I am in Liberty KY. The steak wrap is amazing. The cupcakes look really tasty. The red velvet cupcake looks like it might be the best cupcake in the world, I am looking forward to trying one of them in the near future.
