The Windjammer Restaurant

Reviewed By TraciTM - Saint Clair Shores, Michigan

Went here for an anniversary dinner while staying in Lexington for the weekend, upon recommendation from other guests at the B&B. Very nice restaurant, decorated well for Halloween and enjoyed the servers' creative costumes! Hubby enjoyed his clam chowder and seafood pizza. I had French onion soup (good) and balsamic chicken salad which was okay, not great. Also had apple pie to take back to the room for later and that was very good.

Bunny's Frozen Custard

Reviewed By Rose H - El Paso, Texas

After enjoying the day on the Garage Sale Trail, we finished our day by stopping at Bunny's for frozen custard. My husband and I both had the Turtle Sundaes. The sizes are generous portions, the frozen custard is the best ~ creamy and very smooth. The sundaes had enough hot fudge and caramel to last to the very last bite of frozen custard. Perfect way to end a day of bargain hunting.

Another local favorite! Best Sundae's around. Fresh Stroh's ice cream and Sanders Hot Fudge! What more could anyone want? We visited 3 timed during our trip...always had the hot fudge sundae...sorry...I'm an addict. So did my husband...so no help with different choices. I can tell you the owners are fantastic, great service, very clean, and a great value. If you are driving by, stop in and get an ice cream cone, or old fashion cream puff, and visit the antique barn in the back of the property. Or, just have a seat under one of the largest trees in the area, and enjoy your treat.

My husband and I stopped in during the Art fair for lunch. Service was fairly quick, servers were hustling to get guests through, although we didn't feel rushed.
We had the sandwich special which was a club, not on a wrap, but on a cheese bun. We had the chips and fries as our side. The sandwich was also our dinner that night when we got home, as there was lots of meat on it. All very good for $7 (1$ more for fries vs chips). We have been there two other times, both were very good as well.

Bud light was cheap too.

Thanks!

Beck's Village Cafe & Ice Cream

Reviewed By BazRasty - Hamilton, Canada

The place looked like a dive. That doesn't bother me. Service was excellent and personable. We wanted soft serve but the guy said he just turned on the machine and it would take about ten minutes to be ready. I think anyone else would have just made us wait or served up an inferior product. We ordered mixes of the many flavours they had. I've never seen that kind of variety in soft serve before. Well the ice cream wasn't that good. It wasn't the flavour combination but the lack of creaminess or dairy flavour in the ice cream. I hear they have a good breakfast here though.

Great sandwiches and gourmet pizza. The French Dip is my favorite. Cubano is also good. All the sandwiches are amazing. Pizza has the best crust, soft yet crunchy on the outside. Sweetwater has a nice atmosphere and you can sit outside on the patio. One of my favorite places to eat!
