Bobby D's BBQ at the English Kitchen

Bobby D's BBQ is located in the Historic English Kitchen Restaurant building, Arizona's oldest operating restaurant building (est. 1899). Stepping through our doors is like stepping back in time. Imagine sitting on an original bar stool from 1899. If only these walls could talk! We are a 90% scratch kitchen, family owned and operated. All of our meats are hand trimmed, rubbed and smoked on premise. We have delicious sandwiches, fresh salads, and entrees. The specialty of the house is our slow-smoked, baby back ribs, they literally fall off the bone. We also feature a full bar, 8 microbrews on draft and a full service outdoor deck with bar.

First of all, the service at Bobby D's was outstanding. The BBQ was delicious. We had pulled pork and chicken. Excellent coleslaw. Good beer selection. So-so fries. The atmosphere here is especially cool and the place has such an interesting history. The bathroom was exceptionally clean.

Quaint little shop with ice cream and great fudge. My husband loves all things "hot" so tried jalapeño chocolate. It was a winner. My turtle fudge was great too. Wish we had bought more.

We sought out this cafe because it had gluten-free options. The had several absolutely, hands down fantastically delicious GF options for lunch and dessert! I haven't had such nice food since forever! I had the cheeseburger pie and carrot cake (yes carrot cake!) I was in heaven. My friends also had gluten-free options as well as 'regular' and everything was delicious. Can't rave about this cafe enough!

Scott's Main Street Cafe

Scottt's Main Street Cafe is owned and operated by Scott & Allyson Buckley. We have many years experience in the food and hospitality industries. The restaurant opened in March 2008. We are Clarkdale residents and look forward to seeing our friends and neighbors as they dine with us. Our menu is diverse, and we feature lunch and dinner items. There are daily specials, and dinner entrees feature steak, chicken, and fish, with prices ranging from about $13 to $18. Burgers and hot sandwiches range from about $8 - $10. We also have fresh housemade pizza and feature a range of appetizers and desserts! You can dine in our restaurant, get your food "to-go", or enjoy it next door at the 10-12 Lounge-we'll deliver it to you there while you enjoy their music or a drink. We're a great stop for a meal after taking a Verde Canyon Railroad or Clarkdale Kayak Co. trip! We're also great before or after a "Concert in the Park" during the summer.

Best cheeseburger I have had in Arizona! Great fries too! Very consistent with very reasonable prices. Service was good and felt very cozy. Clarkdale is a very old fashioned town where you feel you kind of are in a time warp. Highly recommend.

Hilltop Deli

Hilltop Deli was established in 2012 by a family with deep roots in Jerome's past. We've come to once again be a part of the local community in the Verde Valley. We strive for perfection with our service and food. We don't shop from the big suppliers—our food comes from local Arizona retailers, chosen by the owner every week to guarantee the freshest and highest quality products. Walk up the steps to the UVX building in Jerome and enjoy a cold beverage and delicious sub on our dog friendly patio with one of the best views in town.

My husband and I decided to park and walk up the hillside to find Hilltop Deli. There are a number of stairways you can climb, and it is a climb! But so worth the climb! As we looked over the menu, the server told us that the chicken in their special, garlic chicken parmesan wrap, was grilled outdoors. That got us and we decided to share the wrap. We chose the toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, olives, avocado. It came with salad greens and a choice of dressing. We also tried a small serving of their pasta salad and had iced teas. The guys plated half the wrap and greens for each of us so appetizingly. And, oh, was it good! The chicken was seasoned so well and in just the right amount. The Italian dressing for the greens was not too tart, as many are. The pasta salad was refreshing and flavorful with bits of pepperoncini. I don't know how to describe the iced teas, but they tasted so clean. On top of that all, the server and cook were very hospitable and friendly. A definite hilltop experience for us!

Bordello Sweets

Reviewed By OhioHick - Ohio, USA

We had a sizeable lunch at the Asylum so we skipped dessert, but after walking through most of Jerome my sweet tooth was feeling a bit neglected. So while my wife was browsing in one of the shops I walked over to the little shack that houses Bordello Sweets. Now let’s be clear, this is not a restaurant; it is a little stand along the side of the road that houses a pastry and baked goods shop. But regardless of what it is, the wares are quite good! The owner is a pastry chef and I think a pretty good one based on the items that I ate! I started with a big cookie (and I mean BIG) which was very good. Moist and chewy, just the way a cookie should be. I forgot what the chef called it, but it had a little be of everything in it. But there was a very nice selection of cookies and cakes to choose from. A bonus to the great baked goods is that the young lady who runs the place is very friendly and helpful. As luck would have it, we passed by the little shop later during our exploration of Jerome so I bought a few slices of the chocolate chip pumpkin bread thinking that it might make a nice breakfast treat. It did! I now have another reason to return to Jerome!

Crema Craft Kitchen Bar

Crema's menu offers more than brunch, coffee, and craft cocktails. We also make gelato and sorbets from scratch right here in our own creamery. The sweetened base of gelato is known as "cream". We make our own cream in small batches, then slowly add the freshest natural ingredients to create classic flavors and try new innovative ones. Our produce is sourced locally when possible. Many of our items are free of GMO's. You'll notice flavors carousel with the season, so enjoy them while they last. "Creme" also refers to the delicate foam atop a promising espresso shot. We use locally-based, organic, certified fair trade, coffee roasted by Prescott Coffee Roasters.

Our first visit to Crema, encouraged by discount coupons from our hotel. Very attractive place, with a really interesting patio. We had late breakfast just past 11, and the sun really heated the patio up. We started with very well made, beautifully designed lattes. Big cup. Big portion. Top notch barrista work. My wife had to eat gluten free or she becomes very ill.

She ordered the Chilequiles, but had to have accommodations. Their chips are fried in house, but they use the same oil they do gluten items in. So, no chips in her serving. Because the green chili was reported to be very hot, she asked for that to be on the side. She didn't even try them. She wanted to have a side of their cheesy hash browns, and inquired if they were gf. The waitress thought they were, but after my wife asked her to check with the chef, she discovered to her surprise that this dish is not gluten free. So, it was just going to be Chilequiles. Couldn't have the fresh fruit because of the cantaloupe (a separate allergy). But, our waitress was able to come up with a side of berries that she could have. Yea!

i thought the French toast would be perfect, as it is described as bread pudding French toast. The idea of thick bread pudding, full of egg goodness and moist with cream and vanilla flavors, made my mouth water. What arrived was enough Texas style toast to feed 2 people. It was fried in oil and was very crisp. Not what i had in mind, and not something i could share with my gf wife.

Kudos to the waitress for checking to ensure that my wife only ate what was safe for her. Also, good job by the manager checking on us while we were waiting for our breakfast, and again as we were leaving. Seems all the managers at all the Haunted Group restaurants do a perfect job of checking with diners at least once. i always appreciate that kind of attention wherever we dine, especially when managers want to hear about both food and staff.
