Wow. It's been a while since I was blown away by something as simple as pancakes. They turned this simple meal into a decadent dish. The pancakes were fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. The French toast was amazing and the apples were cooked to perfection! Seriously good and spent about $40 for two including the tip. Definitely will go back and can't wait!

So refreshing to have this place as an alternative to the chain coffee places. The people are friendly. Their coffee selection changes daily. Today is choc raspberry, in addition to the normal selections. Their latte concoctions are excellent. Lunch items and pastries are super yummy! Only downside, is they only take credit for orders over $7. Bad for somebody like me who never has cash on them. Little gem that is worth a try!

We have never been disappointed. I enjoy the Sesame Chicken & egg rolls and my hubby likes Beef & Broccoli and the House Special Fried Rice. Although there are many Chinese food options, this is our favorite. I can't speak to dining in as we always order take-out. It can be pricey, but it's worth it.

This Country Ice Creamery is scenic overlooking pastures and rolling hills where one can enjoy homemade ice cream or soft serve outside on picnic tables or inside in air conditioning. It offers a small deli, dairy items, bakery items and some snacks and bread. There are waterfalls enrapped around a nice Miniature Gulf area, seasonal activities for the kids and families to enjoy like hayrides, slides, picnicking, and petting zoo I believe. Also have great Seasonal Ice Cream flavors. Parking is simple and easy to get in and out.

We spent one night in Irwin on our way to Detroit and discovered this pizza place. Excellent THIN CRUST pizza with interesting toppings and great service. We requested "lightly topped with cheese" and that's exactly what we got on our Dave's Special pizza. Love the personalized, checklist menu to place our orders. Will definitely stop by again on future layovers. Only 8 minutes from hotels off Hwy. 30 so good for travelers.

Vincent's Pizza Park

If you like pizza, particularly a mom and pop type shop, you owe it to yourself to come here. Pizza comes in different styles, so there is no place that can ever be objectively the best, but in my opinion this is the best pizza in Pittsburgh and the best of it's style I have ever had. The pizzas and toppings are huge. One chunk of their sausage is literally more meat than you will get on a slice or two most other places. It is a bit on the greasy side, although the flavors are wonderful and cost affordable. I can eat a lot and 4 slices nearly put me into a coma. Or maybe it was just the drug effect of the deliciousness. Sadly, the best places will never be recognized as the best, because big name places mass produce and cut back on quality to maximize profit. The mom and pop corner shop that goes out of business when dad retires is a rare gem. The Ardmore Boulevard sister shop closed a few years ago. Hopefully this shop stays open a long time, but just in case go while you can, or go for the experience.

Earl's has always been very good for soft ice cream in North Huntingdon. Pleasant people and reasonable prices unlike Dairy Queen.

Visited on recommendation of a friend and was surprised to get such great Mexican food so close to home. We had fajitas and there were delicious. We were stuffed and had plenty leftovers. They give chips and salsa while waiting for your order. Service was good as well. Would absolutely go again.

Abruzzi Cucina

One of the first places we tried in our new neighborhood, and while its not everyday due to the pricing, you have to eat here. The menu is great and the portions are great. They clearly figured out that people will dump extra money on the dish if its tasty and ten cents extra pasta are on the plate such that you need a doggy box. We have been there a number of times since moving here and every single menu item has been great. Chicken parm is great and so is the arrabiata. They also give the stuff to make olive oil dipping sauce for the bread. After we got our house our contractor friends came down to go over our renos and we ate here, drawing on paper to actually a few minutes past closing and no one pressured us to leave. You will not feel guilty leaving 20+% for the tip. The place is spotless and it has ample parking. The owners seem to pay the staff well and requires great service. Well done.

In town visiting my son who just moved into the area and needed to run out and grab some lunch. This place was close so we went in. Had a great bowl of New England clam chowder and a nice chicken parm sandwich. The ambiance was good as was the service. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. Doesn't look like a lot from the outside but it definitely had good stuff going on inside. Solid choice.
