Welcome to our original 1952 Mountainview Diner voted Best Upstate New York Diner. Best Atmosphere. Best Bacon. Best Hollandaise. Best Pie Crust. Now celebrating 65 years in the Mohawk Valley and once noted as the "most modern kitchen in New York." We have a HUGE menu and the best staff around. We offer special menus for Gluten Free, Kids and Seniors as well as a great Value Meal Menu including a beverage. Our food is homemade and we pay attention to all the small details. Located only one mile from the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) at exit 30. You'll be so glad you decided to come visit. Thanks for checking us out.
Nice variety of foods. The portions are huge! For example, I ordered an omelette and they make their omelettes with six eggs!!!! Prices are good too.

We stopped in for lunch before our Erie Canal cruise and came HUNGRY! Boy are we glad we did!! The food is delicious and the portions are huge!! Add to that the smells of the baking breads and desserts, it's enough to drive a crazy person sane!!!
Food: I had the chicken salad panini on homemade bread with cranberry sauce and house made macaroni salad, which I devoured! It was that good!! I couldn't stop myself from finishing it. My husband had the Reuben sandwich on homemade rye (to die for) which was downstate NY deli perfection. He had the German potato salad, also delicious, with capers - nice touch!
We couldn't leave without ordering some French peasant bread (oooo soooo gooood), a few brownies, muffins and scones to bring back home. We picked them up after our cruise.
The owner, Pierre, is a delight, the staff is warm and friendly, and the pricing is very reasonable. We will be back again when we go "diamond mining" in Herkimer this week! And, whenever we get a craving!

Great place for a quick, easy breakfast. Great bagels, breakfast sandwiches and donuts among other things.

My husband and daughter went here for my birthday dinner, there was no wait for a table but it looked busy. We have been here twice before and weren't disappointed either time. The staff is always nice and friendly, they don't make you feel rushed after your meal. You always get enough food with your meals, and the prices are just right. We would eat here again.

My wife was in the mood for some ice cream so I looked up places in the area and that led us to Woody's. At first glimpse, we weren't sure that we'd stay. When we entered we were greeted with such a cheerful smiling attendant and were immediately comfortable. Her upbeat attitude and the fact that the ice cream was terrific is why I'm writing this. Definitely a good place to go.

We had just returned from The Canal Cruise and were feeling relaxed and happy when we entered the Waterfront Grille . We were among just 6 table of patrons , 4 were already eating and the table next to ours was just receiving their lunch when we placed out order. It was 20 minutes later when we asked what happened to our lunch . " The kitchen was backed up " was the reply . another 10 minutes and our sandwiches arrived...Incorrectly prepared . When we told the staff we were leaving we overheard the staff mumble, "and don't come back ". we left without having our lunch and no longer relaxed or happy .

We traveled to Herkimer as a half way stop to our annual holiday celebration in The Finger Lakes. We decided to go out and eat and PK's was recommended by both the hotel and Tripadvisor. We walked in and were immediately greeted with "Do you have reservations?! We are full up with reservations this evening". Not necessarily a warm welcome. We asked if we could eat at the bar and then they said, "yes, that would be fine". I was then worried we would wait forever, but our salads came immediately and the meals followed just fine. We were glad we decided to stay after the cool (outsider) welcome as the food, service, and evening turned out to be just fine, very good. It seems they get flustered when they are nearing capacity, but there is no reason to make new customers skeptical about dining there.
This is a duplicate of PK's Pub which appears to be the same place (same location), unless I am missing something...?

We almost did not stop at this spot--the pics did not look appetizing. We ordered pizza with sausage and green peppers. It was so delicious. The pizza crust is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. They have small and large pizza sizes. Unfortunately, no beer sold on premises.

From the outside it looks like a total dive. Inside it's quaint, waitstaff was very nice. Food was surprisingly good and we are not new to sushi. Everything was fresh, the rolls were prepared properly (tightly wrapped, didn't fall apart) unlike many chinese/asian fusion places that are popular lately.

We've been going by this place since we moved here last year. When we'd heard it won "Best Fish Fry in Central New York", we figured it was about time to try it. We did and we'll be back for more! Simple menu, plastic knives and forks, paper plates, no liquor licence. About as close to an English Fish and Chip shop you are going to get around here. They sell both cooked food, eat in or take out as well as offering a good selection of raw seafood to take home and cook your own.
