Firstly, TripAdvisor has this restaurant in the wrong location in the app...it is NOT at 104 72nd street...it is on Oak about a mile away. After finally finding it, however, we were disappointed...we expected a lot better in Kansas City. We both ordered baby back ribs. One was genuine, the other was regular ribs.....and, yes, my printed bill had 2 orders of baby back ribs. It didn't matter, however, both were dry and relatively tasteless. Their barbeque sauce needs a lot of help...I recommend you bring in a bottle Sweet Baby Ray's! Don't waste your money going there and struggling to find the place. Kansas City has a lot better places to offer, I'm sure. I would never go there again.

There has always been a small restaurant at the “Corner” in Riverside, Missouri. Enter Ed & Kathi Rule. They had never been in the restaurant business before, but they always felt they knew what good food was all about. It began on May 15, 1983, when they opened a little 40-seat cafe that served breakfast and lunch. The CORNER CAFE was born. Expansions and new buildings have been built, but we continue the traditions that started back in 1983. We strive to provide the best products, the best service, and the best value in an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re part of the family.

My Uncle took my wife and I to this restaurant while visiting the other day. We said we'd like some good down home cooking that was reasonably priced. Man, did he hit the nail on the head!
Corner Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and they have a ton of desserts and offer a children's menu. Very family friendly! This really is home cookin' at it's best! The portions are gigantic and the prices are really reasonable. The home made cinnamon rolls are bigger than softballs! I had the Pot roast sandwich with gravy and fries along with a cup of split pea and ham soup. I should have gotten the half-sandwich because I couldn't eat it all. My wife had pancakes, eggs and bacon, and, my uncle had the pork chop with eggs and hash browned potatoes. They couldn't finish theirs either! But man was it good. I'm just sorry we didn't have room for the gorgeous looking desserts!
This is a great family restaurant and has plenty of room for large parties. The restrooms were spotless. The restaurant is handicap accessible. They do not serve alcoholic beverages. They have "Daily Specials" every day as well as a "Vegetable of the Day."
We'll definitely be back to this Corner Cafe!

I tried this restaurant because it advertised "Springfield" Cashew Chicken. Anyone who has been to Springfield knows that the chicken is deep fried with oyster sauce. What I received was the fried chicken smothered in a sweet sauce. Although the food was ok, it was not what I was expecting. The egg rolls were actually spring rolls that had a fishy taste. Not my favorite Chinese restaurant!

The coffee here is absolutely wonderful. If you want drink your coffee with extra sugar, creamer, whipped cream, etc. this probably isn't the place for you. I'm sure they'll probably make it for you, but that's not what makes this place great. Headrush roasts and grinds their own beans a few feet from where you order your coffee.
