Been here several times (see past reviews) and it's always been a great night out with excellent service and even better food. I'll start with the only mishap IMO, bringing out the salad before the warm appetizer (clams) and telling us they didn't want us waiting. We should have had salad first without the concern of long wait. This is a fine dining establishment and one should expect proper service, etiquette and timely prepared food. That said, the Bibb Salad continues to be stellar. We had special clams in a wonderful broth that clearly was fresh as is all their dishes. I opted for the scallops and risotto special over their games IMO skirt steak. Scallops did not disappoint. A nice size dish with a wonderful cream and mushroom sauce and a side broccolini that was even scrumptious. We had once again their warm sticky toffee cake. Mixed Drinks are spot on, not overly sweet with a handsome pour of alcohol. Overall, ambiance on weekend is busy but not obnoxiously loud. Great acoustics where you can have a pleasant conversation with your guests.

If you love overpriced bland pasta that is gummy and stuck together, then this is the place for you.
My shrimp and scallop dish with Parmesan cheese sauce looked like it was cooked by a four year old. The sauce was bland and there was so much of it that it looked like a bowl of soup with some pasta in it. The scallops (only two) were not cleaned properly and were sandy to the bite.
The room was not overly crowded but the noise level was very loud.
Our server was not the most attentive. We asked for additional water and waited so long I needed to ask another server to get it for us.
My first and definitely my last time here.

La Cipollina

Zagat review: Now at the quarter-century mark, this dependable (if hard-to-find) Freehold Italian BYO maintains its old-world ways with a classic menu of quality items served by an excellent tuxedoed team. The elegant decor lends it special-occasion status and bargain prix fixe specials keep costs under control.

Myself and six of my nurse coworkers went for dinner. We were greeted by Nick and Jesse who catered to every little detail of our dining experience throughout the evening. The appetizer of fresh oysters, clams, & colossal shrimp was so fresh! I also tried the steak tartar served with caviar which was amazing! Nick also recommended a ditillini appetizer with truffle oil which they made IN the restaurant from truffles they had flown in from France! The entrees were also incredible. Some of the dishes ordered were filet mignon with lobster tail, which the girls said the filet melted in there mouths! Gnocchi made at the restaurant and homemade lobster ravioli with caviar and truffle oil were to die for!!! We ended our evening with cappuccinos and bananas foster, which Jesse flambed tableside...VERY IMPRESSIVE SIGHT!! Wonderful evening... we are already planning our next dinner at La Cipollina!!

Aarzu Modern Indian Bistro

Reviewed By Judith A - Kathmandu, null, Nepal

We stopped in for lunch at Aarzu after seeing people eating at their sidewalk cafe, and were delighted! Having lived for many years in South Asia, we are often disappointed by Indian food in American restaurants. But not this time! The owners and cooks are from Mumbai, and their food reflects their city's renowned cuisine. For a sample of many dishes try their thali, which is served in traditional style, and includes everything from appetizers to dessert. The service was impeccable, and the staff most gracious as well.

El Meson

I used to like this place, but it has gone down since my last visit. I wanted lamb burrito and they ran out, the service was inattentive (servers were on their cell phones) and the prices were too high for the portions. We brought our own beers, had 2 dinner entrees and it was over $45.00. I had one pork burrito with small portions of rice on a large plate and my boyfriend had the 3-meat taco combo. The presentation was nice, but the side portions were small. We ran out of chips and no more were offered. We had to look for our server to get the check and no apology was offered. Save you money and go the newer place down the street (By CVS - I don't remember the name). They give better service, have better prices and their food is fresher.

Went on Sunday afternoon - I think it was around 2-3pm. The place was not busy but it was an odd time. Our waiter could not have been better. He was very nice and friendly. Had a great personality.

Our food was very good also. The calamari/shrimp app was great!

I had the burger salad because I just didn't want to same old thing and it was very good. No bun. No fries. Exactly what I wanted. Burger was cooked as asked.

My date had an oriental chicken salad and that was very good also.

Definitely go here again. The place was nice and clean as well. When we left we noticed the bar area was pretty full. Next time we will try in the spring/summer because I noticed an outdoor area.
