The Poodle Dog Restaurant in Fife has ben in operation for well over 50 years. Although the building is showing it age, the food is still good and the service is exceptional.
We stop at this restaurant for breakfast when were in the area. The egg dishes are wonderful and the hash browns are great. I highly recommend this place for breakfast! Be forewarned, the place can really get busy on the weekends!

The pictures others have posted tell the story. This place is so beautiful and quaint it reminded me of going to my grandmothers, but it was so regal. Teri has put a lot of love and care into the design of this cafe and you can feel that as soon as you walk in. The food, tea and service was amazing. We're already planning for Mother's Day and tea party get togethers as this establishment has all the fixings for a grand time. I must say the Egg salad sandwich and Ruben are worth it. Everything is homemade and done well. A great place to visit if you're in the Tacoma area! Support small businesses! And this one is well worth it.

The locals recommended it, so we tried it. Great donuts and friendly staff.

The donuts are made fresh every day (of course) and the recipe they use lends itself to light, fluffy dough- and not so sweet you can’t eat them.

The favorites of ours were the maple bar and apple fritter :)

Crockett's Public House

Arrived there at 11 am and was told there was a 25 min wait but seated after 20 min. I ordered corned beef hash and my friend ordered crab hash. Both were delicious. The corned beef was pulled from a roast (not canned) and the potatoes in both hashes were newly fried. Poached eggs on top were cooked perfectly with the yolks still soft. Service was exceptional even though they were very busy, as always. One criticism is the noise level. It was so loud that I couldn’t hear what my friend across the table was saying. I’ve eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here and the food is always great.

Love how fresh their salads are. They have a berry, nut and grilled chicken salad that is delicious; and they grill the chicken right when you order. Takes about 10 minutes, but thats ok because I know it is fresh. I like that I can order ahead of time and then pick it up on my lunch hour. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Thai In Fife

This is an unassuming spot in a strip mall in Fife. We've driven by so many times. It's definitely worth trying, and I'm glad we finally did. We WILL be returning SOON!!!

We sampled the fried tofu appetizer, Pad See Ew, Chicken Fried Rice, and Black Sticky Rice dessert. Everything was yummy, and portions were generous (enough for another meal.) The next time we get the fried tofu, I might ask for peanut sauce in addition to the house sauce it's served with.

Service was very friendly and attentive. I'm wondering if it's a family business. On the Saturday night we were there, the dinner take out business was brisk, a sign of satisfying food.

Stopped in for a business meeting and got a good chuckle from this place. The clientele and staff have been mingling for decades. That was very apparent. We were ignored by most of the staff when we asked for waters. Only until we ordered something they could charge us for did we get waters. On the third request. No refills either. Again, the attention was towards the four tables of people they know.
As for the food they are known for their French dips. They also have a blue baron which is like a French dip but with blue cheese on sourdough. I had that. Sandwich was good but I don't know what was saltier, the soggy fries or the au jous.
Decor was from decades ago. I love checking out places that would be in triple d, but this does not qualify.

This is the best restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. The service is always spot on, warm & welcoming. We had Kelly as our server this time & she was wonderful. The food was delicious. Perfectly cooked, juicy, filet mignons and, even though we just shared a side of the au gratin potatoes, we couldn't finish it all. If you've never eaten here before, the added touch is the complementary fruit & nut bowl at the end of your meal. It just tops everything off. Can't wait for the next time!

My husband and I been going there off and on for years. Friday night, 5/26/2017 left a bad taste in our mouth! We both ordered the ribs. My husband wanted potato salad, but the gal behind the register insisted on the mash potatoes. When our food was brought to us, we were really excited because ya'll are known for the best ribs in town! I was so disappointed that our food wasn't hot nor fresh. In fact it wasn't even warm, it was cold and blah looking. On top of that, the mash potatoes texture was horrible and pasty! I HATE complaining about food, but when we make it a "date night" and spend good money, we expect at least a HOT meal.

My husband ate nearly half his ribs. He said "I'll deal with it and eat mine as is" I wanted a refund, so I told the cashier "I hate to complain, and I so sorry, but my food is cold" she was very sweet and nice and said "not to worry, I'll have them fix it". She insisted she take my husbands half eaten meal too. We didn't mind waiting for 10-15 minutes for an entire new fresh meal... We expected a FRESH new meal! I told my husband.... "Did I just hear the microwave door close"? Sure enough, she brought back his meal half eaten and warmed up in the microwave. What would have been the RIGHT thing for your "cook" to do was take pride and prepared a fresh plate of food for both of us! All he did was heated it up as is in the microwave!!!! We were insulted and grossed out.. It's just wrong for your cook to "nook" the entire plate as it was. By then, the corn bread was dried out and so was the baked beans. If I wanted to warm it up in the microwave, I would have done "to go" and heated it my dam self. I was insulted and annoyed

I'm very disappointed and sad that your evening cook "heated our food in the microwave". We've been there when the African American was preparing the ribs, and it's always been on-point. It's inconsistent between lunch hour and evening hours.

So disappointed.
