Obviously a popular choice for breakfast for locals and tourists. Big hearty fare on offer for my starving husband whilst I went for something a little more dainty. It was really good! Endless coffee, quick, efficient service and very good value. Would thoroughly recommend.

I know, I know: You're traveling, you're in Wyoming, you're in Dubois, and someone says, "You should eat at the Nostalgia Bistro!" And you think, "Yeah, sure, whatever. How bad can it be? I'm in Dubois, Wyoming, after all." Well, you will be in for a big surprise. This place has some really good food!

The Bistro was recommended to us because my wife needs to keep gluten free. Our server made sure to recommend several things that fit that need, and answered questions about other things quickly -- or, got the answers quickly.

We ate on a Friday night, and the place was busy. The wait for the food was long, and both the server and the manager apologized. Of course, this was the Friday before the total solar eclipse, so there was a lot more traffic in this part of Wyoming than even the normal tourist season, so perhaps they were understaffed in the kitchen?

At any rate, when the food arrived, it was hot, and it was very tasty. My wife had the Thai beef steak salad, which was large, more steak than salad, really tasty ginger, and well seasoned. It tasted fresh, she said, and it tasted good. I had the steamed mussels -- a special that day -- and boy, were they tasty in fresh thyme and garlic in a white wine sauce. I'm sure that's what we all expect in western Wyoming, right?

Yeah. Don't underestimate a place just because of location!

The Nostalgia Bistro was a great dining experience. The food was great, and that's what it's all about. Enjoy!

We stayed next door at the Trail's End Motel and had breakfast at Daylight. The waitress was super busy since it was tourist season and there was a local event that weekend also, but she was friendly and attentive.
Our meals were great! Kids got hotcakes, my wife had the bacon and eggs. I'm the big eater so I got the chicken fried steak and eggs. The steak was just right and the gravy was delicious. hashbrowns were the side, but toast was an extra 1.50. It was worth it to soak up the extra gravy from my plate. I used to live in Riverton and had been to Dubois many times, but had never eaten at this place. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

This is located off the highway on the road to Union Pass. Dirt road all the way but well maintained. Burgers here were delicious and the staff interesting and chatty. It is very near Warm Springs Creek which has great fishing. Guess I shouldn't tell you that as it is one of my favorite fishing spots.

Stopped here to grab some sandwiches before a horseback ride. Good bread, friendly service, albeit a bit slow (but hey, it's not the city). They had a decent looking salad bar, which I wasn't expecting. All in all a great pit stop to pick up goods for a great day out.

One of those experiences where it starts off nice then two hours later you're desperately waiting for your check and to get the heck out of there. Hardly anyone in so there was no excuse for the slow service. Food was acceptable if a little bland. Wished we'd gone elsewhere for dinner, there are other options in town.

Located on Togwotee Pass Outdoor Deck Seating Summer BBQ's on Saturday and Sunday

Reviewed By DanielRLexington - Winchester, Kentucky

My wife and I visited this establishment one Saturday during our travels (we stayed there for two 2 nights in our motorhome) in this area of Wyoming and received a very pleasant surprise. Why surprise, you supercilious twit? Well, in my limited experience, I have learned to expect something other than perfection from a place that is so obviously angling for the tourist dollar. Saturday and Sunday are their Bar-B-Que days and talk about lucking out!! I am not normally a Bar-B-Que eater but this has to be spelled with Caps. We both ordered the brisket plate and we were surprised that our very pleasant server, Darcie, was able to carry both plates simultaneously. However, she was and she did. We immediately asked for takeout boxes and we're still eating our Bar-B-Que after about two weeks. In other words, it was more than ample and extremely delicious! Handicap friendly once one got inside and one of the helpful cooks gave us a hand with the single step up to the porch. The decor seems to be sort of standard for this part of the states, albeit nice to look at. Easy four stars….at least on weekends.
