Most Popular Restaurants in Dublin

April 14, 2018 Marissa Gamble

Dublin (formerly, Amador and Dougherty's Station) is a suburban city of the East (San Francisco) Bay and Tri-Valley regions of Alameda County, California, United States. Located along the north side of Interstate 580 at the intersection with Interstate 680, roughly 35 miles (56 km) east of downtown San Francisco, 23 miles (37 km) east of downtown Oakland, and 31 miles (50 km) north of downtown San Jose, it was referred to as "Dublin" in reference to the city of Dublin in Ireland because of the large number of Irish who lived there. The post office formally adopted the name in the 1890s.

Denica's Real Food Kitchen

We are a family owned and operated cafe. We began as a bakery and over the years have added our love of great homemade food to our menu. Each location has a bakery, complimentary homemade chips and salsa bar, and complimentary fruit infused water. We make everything from scratch, just like we cook for our kids at home. Try our pancakes, the crepes, the Belgian waffle, or any of our favorites and meet the amazing people that work with us to ensure we are spreading love one meal at a time! With love, Denica and James Freitas

I love the toy/play area for little kids, and really everything about this cute...MoreJanfab58, thank you so much for this amazing review and rating! I am thrilled to see how much you love dining with us and appreciate the area for the children! I hope to see you back again very soon! With Love, Denica (Owner)

Hap's Original Steaks & Seafood

I have visited this restaurant 3 times over the past several years. Each time thinking my visit will be better. All I can say is; at least they are consistent.

When we arrived for our reservation, there was a great open table by the front window. We asked to be seated there. We were told that particular server was overloaded and put across the restaurant. Seems to me, that they could have just assigned another sever to our table. I mean jeeze, the restaurant is just not that big.

Since the meals are priced $$$$ I expect my meal should be perfect. Our baked pototoes arrived cold. (my butter would not even melt) Plus, we have now nick-named sending your steak back 3 times as having your steak cooked "Haps Way" By the 3rd try my friends bone in Filet arrived looking like a fatty red under cooked mess.

With as many options that exist in downtown Pleasanton, and for a lot less $, I would strongly suggest Haps step up their game. I do not reccomend this restaurant as it stands today.

We visited Amakara for the first time & had excellent food & drinks. It is excellent Japanese food with a contemporary twist & setting. Had avocado & mango roll which was absolutely delicious. My friend had pork gyozas which were crispy, tender and incredibly good. He also had beef teriyaki which he described as "Yum!" I had tempura asparagus, avocado, cucumber, spring mix greens, mustard sauce & teriyaki sauce roll. Wow. We had large margaritas with a lot of ice, which watered down the strength & flavor but tasted fine. He had a Michael David cabernet, which took a while to open up & breathe, but was very good once it did. I had Karatamba sake, which is always lovely & great with the food I ordered. Everyone was friendly, helpful & personable with us. It was extremely busy there & we could see why! We'll be back again soon!

5 of us went to Delatorre's after a meeting...and had a delicious lunch.
We all ordered something different.
Sea Bass and pasta
pasta and clams
chicken
minestrone soup
and Bay Shrimp salad
They brought herb bread, brown bread and breadsticks...butter and oil and balsamic vinegar.
Every dish was delicious...EVERY SINGLE ONE...not one complaint!
This was my first time eating at this restaurant, and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Gay 90's Pizza Co

Reviewed By sirmeandt - Palo Alto, California

Pleasanton icon, been here as long as I can remember. When you think about the number of restaurants, that have come and gone, that's a pretty good validation, that they're doing something right.

I like bellying up to the bar, for a cold one with a friend. Never had a complaint, regarding the food, love the garlic bread.

Another nice touch, the pictures of old Pleasanton, very interesting. P-town, has become, so touristy, that it's nice to see it when the primary crop was hops.

The crust is thicker on the outer side of the pizza, and more cheese, but will accommodate you, if you throw yourself down on the floor and throw a temper tantrum. I don't know really, but let me know if that worked for you.

Right on the main street, where most people go for a stroll, so pop in for a peek, you may be pleasantly surprised.

btw - Gay Nineties . . . that's the 1890s, just a heads up.

The restaurant was very busy at 5:45 p.m. on a Thursday night. Nice venue, good staff, and great food. We both ordered off the special menu of organic food/sustainable fish. Our salmon salads were excellent! Large portion, very fresh, and interesting combination of foods with roasted cauliflower, avocado, greens, and quinoa. Nice dining experience.

Lokanta

There were so many choices for lunch on Main Street we read reviews and then walked along the street to decide where to have lunch. We are so glad we felt great vibes at Lokanta. We were fortunate to be welcomed by the knowledgeable manager Dogan Ozdogan. We had a great discussion about the Ottoman roots of most Mediterranean cuisine. More commonly referred to as Greek, Lebanese, Turkish but all derivatives from the great Ottoman Chefs for whom creating mouth watering recipes was an art. Lokanta has taken the best from the region and presents it in the most amicable setting. We created our own mezzos by sharing a number of their great offerings. If your not totally familiar with the traditions ask Dogan to suggest your fare. You will leave totally happy. I lived with n the Middle East for 16 years and have xperienced all michelin 3 stars in Europe. Believe me if your in Pleasanton don,t miss Lokanta.

Let’s face it. Dining is expensive these days. One would expect however to get something for your money. Nonni’s just doesn’t deliver. The food was okay but nothing special. Certainly not worth the hefty price tag. The service was good. The atmosphere is so unspecial. Why did I bother eating there. I felt fleeced of my money. And what happened to 15% tips. Doesn’t exist in Nonni’s world. Won’t be going back.
