Ok, we lived in Arizona for ten years, so we are a bit picky about our Mexican food. But for a place in the far reaches of the UP, Esther's is pretty good. I recently stopped in at the Drummond Island Teepee for an ice cream. They have the standard soft serve variety of sweet treats to select from. I took a small vanilla cone. It was smooth, flavorful and satisfying. They also have a wide range of sandwiches and basket lunches / dinners to choose from. For a quick nice meal try them out.

We had the skillet scramble and a breakfast sandwich. The scramble was really good. It was smaller than the picture but still a good portion. The sandwich was good. Our waitress was very attentive. Good place for breakfast.

What a cool local joint. Awesome blueberry pancakes and bacon! Great service...even the owner makes the rounds. If you made the mistake of camping at the Drummond Island Snob Haven, this is one positive takeaway.

This is such a wonderful restaurant. Very friendly owners with a great variety to choose from! we've had several meals there with each one being prepared efficiently and with care. Averaged priced and servings were very generous. Loved the down home atmoshphere, and all the fun stuff to shop. Just packed with gret items. We will definatley return when ever we visit.

Trailhead offers casual lake side dining at an affordable price. Daily food and drink specials. Free Wi-Fi and billiards. Serving great burgers, hand cut steaks, and so much more including fresh whitefish caught off the shores of Drummond Island by Barbeaux Fisheries of Detour. Trailhead location is the ideal destination for trail riding making it Drummond Islands Off Road Headquarters.

The whitefish is worth the trip.
The place is a big open bar with an emphasis on burgers and fish.
The whitefish is locally caught and well prepared. Onion rings cost more, but are a good option. Go for the coleslaw, which is stellar.
The atmosphere is cavernous and a bit cheesy.

If your in a hurry, what am I saying it is island time. Not fast but good.
My kids loved the salad bar and it was good. The soups were tasty.
Bread sticks were not good pizza average.
We are there a few times because it was in walking distance to resort.
The staff is over worked but friendly as soon as they know you appreciate their hustle they are great.
The salad bar and soup were the best part.
Lots of beer on tap.

The food was good, but the service was not! After being in the service industry for 15 years, this place could disappoint anyone! The seemed annoyed to seat us in an empty restaurant because we did not have a reservation. After the drink order, the waiter returned with half the drinks...took a while for the bottle if wine at which point the person who ordered it was not offered a taste before pouring. The waiter had no knowledge of the menu items. After an actually tasty meal, we waited quite a while to have our placed removed from the table...waiter wasn't sure if they had to go boxes! We wanted to order dessert and more wine, but after waiting 20 minute we am decided against it. It took another 20 minutes for us to get the bill as my husband proceed to go to the bar to get his card back to sign. Probably won't go back!

We had a hankering for pizza and happened on Chucks. The pies were fresh and hot. The ingredients were fresh and overall very tasty. The intwriornos definitive Up North bar and grill. Dark wood plank interior, but pretty roomy for Drummond Island.

Fantastic food! Haven't had a meal I didn't like. He rocked our wedding buffet with juicy hand carved prime rib, Wisconsin chicken, potatoes that were our of this world and roasted veggies that even the most carnivorous of creatures would enjoy. At our tasting we sampled many options...it was very hard to choose. I'm still dreaming about the amazing brownies he served!! Can't wait to get back up there and stop in for some more!
