I'm going to say four words, then get in your car and try to find Dewitt, IA. Apple Stuesel Cheesecake Bar. Here are another five words: White Chocolate Raspeberry Cheesecake Bar. How about creampuffs, homemade donuts, giant sandwiches, artisan coffee...everything is delicious. Get in mah MOUTH! So good. Good luck finding some wifi anywhere else in Dewitt. They could rename this place Om Nom Nom Cafe and Bakery.

The people here are extremely nice, and the food is good and decently-priced. We were there on a Thursday evening. There weren't many people there when we arrived, but the place filled up quickly and was soon PACKED. The noise level was a bit much, but to be expected for a small place that was completely full. Parking is too limited, but there are places nearby where you can park. My son ended up developing a headache so we had to box up our meals and eat in our hotel room. Hopefully we get a chance to try again under better circumstances.

Buzzy's has plenty of seating in their bar area for a quiet drink, small meal, or simple appetizer as well as a larger seating area for smaller groups and a very large area for weddings or events of that type.
The food, (at least the appetizers) is basic bar food, meaning anything that can be fried. I didn't look at their full menu as we only stopped for a snack and a drink.
There is ample parking anywhere around Buzzy's as the town is quite small it is the only thing on Main street.

For about ten years we visit the area in the spring and fall and each time we have visited this restaurant about 10 times for breakfast. We have never had a bad experience in this friendly family oriented restaurant. Remarkably it has been very consistent in delivering great breakfasts at reasonable prices.
The ambiance is very pleasant and clean. Tammy remembers from one year to the next our typical order - although every now and then we throw her off guard and order something different.
We will continue to return in subsequent visits.

This was our initial visit. I think they have been open a couple months but they also were closed due to the Wapsi River flooding. We have been giving them time to get things sorted out. Unfortunately they don't have it right yet.
We were immediately seated arriving just before 5 on a Sunday afternoon. We sat at our table for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement. One waitress passed our table 4 times and another waitress twice. We finally had our waitress arrive. Heather was excellent and I will explain later. My wife ordered a cheeseburger and fries. It came with coleslaw but Heather wasn't sure if it was spicy or not. She immediately offered to get a sample.(Yes it was spicy). I ordered the Catfish Dinner. The wife's dinner came out and Heather said mine should be there shortly. She did leave one side I ordered which was 3 stuffed tater tots. My wife was done with hers when mine arrived but Heather didn't think it looked right. She said to try it but felt it might be overdone. Heather checked back in just a couple minutes and I confirmed the breading was well overdone. She offered to get me another one but said they had a large party coming it and would be quite some time for my dinner arrived. They were trying to figure out why the catfish was bad wether it was the fryer or breading. They gave me my meal and sent me home with two freshly cooked fillets. Heather had bypassed three other tables to stay on top of my situation. As a customer service rep this is real taking ownership of a customers problem. The owner also profusely apologized. It is because of Heather and the owners apology that we will try it another time. This time we were extremely disappointed.
The interior is very loud due to the walls and ceiling materials. If you want a quiet place this isn't it.

I have some unusual food allergies. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make certain I could safely eat my meal. Even with the limited options and substitutions, my lunch was excellent! Beautifully presented, carefully prepared and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the Garden Cafe.

We have been to many Happy Joe's and this was the best pizza we have had in the last few visits! Just about a mile off Hwy 61, just into DeWitt. We arrived around 3:00 pm on a Sunday. No one there but the staff. The young lady that took our order was very pleasant. After we had our pizza, she came over several times to check on us. The pizza was properly cooked and had the right amount of toppings. The dining room is clean and some of the tables are starting to show their age. This is a very kid friendly pizza parlor.

We're passionate about great food. We feature freshly baked breads and rolls, cupcakes and desserts, salads, soups, sandwiches, prime rib on Friday & Saturday nights. We locally source fresh quality ingredients and make most everything from scratch.

This has been a wonderful culinary addition to our town. I have enjoyed both lunch and dinner here. Soups are superb and lunch sandwiches are fresh and made to order. Their prime rib night can't be beat for value and quality. The cut of meat was perfect and it was cooked to our personal taste. Service is also great although you may need to nudge them a little on busy days as they get a bit behind and forget little items that you may be waiting on. It is easy to recommend this place. Only wish it was a bit less cramped inside.
