Love the staff at Black Bear Waterfront!! Jeff and the staff are great.. Drinks and food are always on par.. Beautiful little set up, and great atmosphere. This place is good for all occasions, whether it's a night out with the hubby, girls night, birthday celebration, or a family dinner. Love this quaint little gem in Delhi!!

Tiny, unassuming place just off I-10 with really excellent eggs, omelets, grits, hash browns, biscuits and such. Very reasonable. Friendly service. Full of local characters. Breakfast the next morning, further down the road, reminded me just how difficult simple things like biscuits and hash browns can be. And the chalk board for the day’s lunch special made me wish I could hang around for that.

We stayed next door at the lodge and out of convenience decided to eat here. We were surprised by the great food and friendly service. The cajun seafood pasta was delicious. Passing through on I 20 in Louisiana, exit for a national park. Decided to stay overnight due to the late hour (visitor center closed). Checked TripAdvisor for the local fare, noticed the good reviews La Fonda had received.
If you are in or near Delhi, LA, stop here!! The restaurant is in a strip mall about 1/2 mile north of I 20 on the left.
Greeted promptly, seated quickly (they weren't busy). Ordered the Chicken Tostada and some tea (drinks were tempting, though). Decor is definately Spanish with the dark brown furniture. They have several tables and booths.Windows face east so you don't get the setting sun glaring in. They also serve salsa and chips. Salsa had some heat, but not enough to burn. Chips were crisp and not salty like potato chips tend to be.
Too bad this place isn't on the beaches near St Petersburg. They would be jammed!!
Prices are reasonable, portions large (to me).
Stop and enjoy!!!!!

We rolled in thinking this was a local restaurant, and were a little disappointed to realize it was a chain. However, all disappointment disappeared once the food arrived. Great pizza, and good cheese sticks just added to the meal!

Bless their heart for giving attempt at Cajun food. With Cajun creole food there are certain flavor profile standards. The have put their own twist which 180 degrees of what Cajun is. Maybe they will get it sooner or later. Won't be going back. The boiled peanuts at the Exxon are more Cajun.

I recently visited Hot Wings Heaven on the tip of a co-worker; and I am very thankful for that tip. This roadside Carry-Outter was once a Dairy Bar or Burger Stand, and is only located less than 2 miles North of I-20 in Delhi, LA. It's form definitely follows it's function, it is recommended that you phone ahead, because everything is cooked to order. Employees are very courteous, eager to serve, and patient with you as you ask about their menu. We tried and loved the Garlic Parmesan, Sweet Barbecue, Lemon Pepper Wet, the Fries were the 'meaty' crinkle cut variety. Hot Wings Heaven also serves Burgers, Fried Catfish, Shrimp, Pork Chops, and a variety of sides such as Fries and Tator Tots. The price is fair for the abundance of food. They offer a delicious Wing Combo which includes 6 Wingettes, choice of potato, and a Can Drink, and dipping sauce. Do yourself a favor if you're ever passing through Interstate 20, and stop by for an awesome meal.

While they don't actually deliver, it was just a few blocks from the hotel and my order was ready right when I walked in the door, the employee allowed me to take some empty cups, extra napkins and extra packs of the cheese blend. Pizza was on level with what I'd expect from pizza hut.

We were on a road trip from Va to Tx. Boomers was located off the hwy. So, we decided to eat something other than chain fast food. Two stray but friendly dogs greeted us at the front door and inside the door was a smiley nice cashier to take our order. I ordered the shrimp basket with fried ora & my companion ordered the catfish with fries. Both plates were cooked as we wait. The Resturant reminded me of Mel's Dinner because the smiling ladies (Flo & Alice) in the front was screaming the order the mean looking cook, Boomer. As we waited, I washed my hands in a clean but outdated bathroom. However clean is good. Anywho, we ordered the Food to go but we check & tasted the food. The food was streaming hot and not greasy at all. However, everything tasted the same. No individual tastes or anything special. Maybe because everything is cooked in the same grease. Beside grumpy Boomer in the back..service was outstanding

Unexpectedly good Chinese food was discovered right off the freeway. We didn't have a lot of hope for a good supper, so this was a nice surprise. A very sweet lady works the front while her husband does the cooking. The selection of dishes was varied, and they had most of out favorites.
