Hey, I go here at least a couple of times a week. It's safe because it right across the street from the police department. And they ofter eat inside.
That being said, the beer and drinks and wine are certainly cheap during happy hour, which is Monday thru Friday from about 4 until 10. The crowds are usually there during happy hour. It is an L shaped bar and seats may 16 people. The bartenders are friendly and they will get to know your name. About 8 drafts.
They have live entertainment on Sunday evenings and Wednesday afternoon, except when it's really cold. I think the entertainment can be overwhelming because they are set up really close to the bar.
Heuys is known for its burger. Usually first place in the local best contests. The onion rings and fries are good. I think the rest is pub grub. Take it or leave it.
But is a fun place, a safe place. And everyone knows your name.

We three sisters ate lunch here, trying the chicken tortilla soup, salmon, and cheeseburger. Great place to be able to enjoy lunch and conversation.
Soup could have been hotter and was reasonably flavorful. Cheeseburger and onion rings were better than many restaurants. Salmon deemed to be perfect.

I grew up with one of the original custard places, The Custard Cup in Danville, Illinois. I am spoiled on excellent quality frozen custard without a doubt. Sheridan's has authentic 1950's equipment. You will not find better custard outside of Danville or Champaign. Too bad they don't have lemon custard or cold fudge.

We had visited another Corky's (on Poplar) and loved it this place was closer to our hotel so we came here expecting the same restaurant. The building is very nice. Upon entering we stood for some time watching workers move about without being greeted. Finally the fellow behind the bar asked if we had been helped and he seated us. The waitress was nice enough. We placed our order which came quickly. We expected the same quality of food as the other Corky's but that wasn't the case. Needless to say I was disappointed. Maybe it was just an off day....

Frozen yogurt is pretty much all the same, but the different flavors offered at Menchie's made me rate it better than average. Also, there are plenty of toppings to choose from and the service is always good!

I call The Butcher Shop “The Cowboy Place,” since it’s the Flagship Restaurant of Agricenter International, a 1,000-acre regional mecca including an Expo & Event Center & Showplace Arena.
Texas-size appetites & Expense Accounts reign.
A glass of Meomi Pinot Noir was $13.
The 10-oz. Bacon Wrapped Filet Medium-Rare ($38) featured Grain-fed Beef from the Midwest aged 6 weeks in house. Grilled over Tennessee Hickory Charcoal. It doesn’t get much better than that around these parts.
Seafood Entrees including Lobster & Crab are also popular.
Salad was chilled & the Thousand Island Dressing was a smooth blend. The big fat Loaded Baked Potato was steaming hot. Hot Bread & Butter too, of course.
I could only eat half, it will make a hearty Steak & Potato Lunch tomorrow.

I was about to write “The Homemade Chicken Tortilla Soup ($7.95) is to die for!” But considering that I’ve just come from the Dr’s. Office, maybe Today is Not My Day. I feel better already!
Succulent Pulled Chicken Breast Gently Seasoned & served in a Real Bowl with a Real Spoon, no less. The Perfect Lunch.

It's incredible what this place is offering. Italian food prepared as in Italy with a little American influence. All we had (8 of us) was amazing. The dessert (Salame di Cioccolato) was spectacular. It was at least 15 years since I've tried it last time.Thanks a lot!!

Villa (the Cordova locals leave of Castrioti) is my "go to" Italian restaurant...I can say I've honestly have never had a bad meal. They have great wine and super food.
We had a mixture of orders to include Veal Saltimbocca and a filet with Oscar topping...plenty of food which we shared and guess who got everyone's left overs...yep...me!!!!
