Most Popular Restaurants in Concord

Concord is a city steeped in the history of the sword and the pen. The site of the historic Battle of Lexington and Concord, the city provided the setting for the initiation of the American War of Independence, honored at Minute Man National Historical Park. Concord's literary history is at least as rich. It was here where Thoreau penned Walden, inspired by the kettle pond of the same name, where Emerson philosophized on Self-Reliance and where Louisa May Alcott introduced her Little Women.

Nashoba Brook Bakery

Yes, it took a few passes to find the place, but once we did, we were happy. It's in an unassuming building with a barely marked door. The parking is a little sketchy, with many places marked NO BAKERY PARKING.

We didn't want anything fancy, just a couple of sandwiches to take with us on a picnic.

They were delicious.

If you need a simple lunch, this is a great choice, especially since there are so few options that are open on Sunday in Concord.

We have been going to The Cheese Shop for years. They let you taste different cheeses, have a wonderful knowledge of cheeses and their pairings with wine and have an extensive selection of breads, crackers, desserts and wine. It is always busy. They make good sandwiches for lunch.

Reasons to be Cheerful

Reviewed By Dutch Brother - Boston, Massachusetts

This is an ice cream, shop with a few other finger foods and drinks on the side. The ice cream is the reason to come. Every flavor I've ever had there has been excellent. The Vietnamese cinnamon is a real standout. There is plenty of seating. Being a former Victorian house, it has a lot of atmosphere. Service is friendly and efficient. Enjoy.

Haute Coffee

Just had a very well put together sandwich, very light and seasoned nicely. The pour-over coffee took some time (came after the sandwich actually) however the staff were attentive and overall quality was fantastic. Though there was a considerable lack of seating (or inefficiency of seating placement).

Concord Teacakes

Reviewed By CJ B - Wayland, Massachusetts

We ordered a Buche de Noel from Teacakes two weeks in advance. It was the priciest of our choices at $35 for a 6" cake so we assumed it would be the best. Not so. We got a phone call two days ahead saying the cakes were delayed in transit. That was the first clue I had that the cakes were not baked fresh on the premises. We got a call notifying us that our cake was ready for pickup a few hours after the promised time so our dessert was still going to be the showcase of our holiday meal. How disappointing that the cake was dry- both ends of it had no frosting so the cake itself was dried out. The decorations on the Buche were sad too. Most Buches have edible holly berries, leaves, etc. This cake only had a merengue mushroom, nothing else could be eaten. We would have done better with a store-bought cake at half the cost. We will not order from them again.

There are numerous and very many artificial ingredients in their pre-packed ice cream tubs. The outside seating is one bench.

the food was creative and very good. the service was aloof and uninterested in us. Unfriendly. the steak, burger, scallops, grilled swordfish, bluefish pate, roasted chicken were all very good. It is hard to be more enthusiastic about it due to the service, but we would probably try again if we were in the area. Had ben so excited to try it but that excitement was dulled by the near rude service.

Main Streets Market & Cafe

Reviewed By Al-Sue-Maine - York, ME

We had lunch there while in town on business. It's a busy place, but they sat us quickly. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food it good. The Wedge salad was served with 4 bunches of Romaine laid out so it's much easier to eat than a traditional Iceberg wedge. Everything was good; the food, the service and the atmosphere. We'd go back.

Starbucks

There was almost family atmosphere in Concord Starbucks that afternoon I visited it. A few young people sitting at the table working on their computers, a lady knitting in the chair, a man reading newspaper, everybody seemed to be so relaxed, including staff. Coffee was a standard Starbucks quality. I felt so comfortable. Remembering this visit makes me smile.

This is no ordinary quiche. It is an experience that makes all the others seem like French toast in a crust. Pick up a piece for yourself to savor, or a whole one to dazzle guests for brunch. Love their lemon coconut cookies too.
