Lauer-Krauts

Reviewed By Jeff B - Colorado

We drove almost 70 miles with great anticipation of what we saw on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. They must've made 'em different for Guy and the cameras. What a huge disappointment. The people were friendly enough. the place was clean, but the Kraut-Burgers were not too good. I have a friend in Greeley, CO who makes home-made kraut-burgers that are far superior and absolutely delicious. There was more bread than anything else. There were also more fillers with cabbage and onion than ground beef. I'm sure Clara Peller (from the 80's commercials) would be screaming "Where's The Beef?" We won't be making that drive to Brighton again. So very disappointed.

La Estrellita

Reviewed By Pat_80303 - Boulder, Colorado

We've been going to Brighton's La Estrellita for years and enjoy the drive knowing we'll get some good Mexican fare. They now offer very good monthly specials and well as the evolving regular items. Medium spice is very reasonable, but hot spice can occasionally cause tears in my eyes. I like the jalapeno cream enchilada and my husband likes the pork ribs when they are available. These aren't your typical Mexican-American fare, but family recipes. There is usually plenty of parking a block west of the place. Get there early (before 5) or late on the weekends or you may have to wait a bit for a table.

Kikos Authentic Mexican Food

Four of us stopped for dinner, at this restaurant for the first time. We were surprised at the top quality food and excellent service. They serve traditional Mexican food but the food was absolutely fresh and tasty. Service was great and the place sparkled. The folks believe in clean fresh food and the place shows it. Prices were quite reasonable.

Love this place! Come here whenever I’m in Brighton. Proper Italian restaurant, run by real Italian family, serving genuine Italian food.

Superb authentic pasta and pizza dishes for about £8 in a trattoria setting.

I love Chick-fil-A. This location has always been great. I use the drive thru and have never gone through the front door...but the drive thru has always been efficient and the food has always been good. They messed up my order once...but made it right immediately.

Applebee's

Reviewed By Geoffrey M - Brighton, Colorado

First off, the service and hospitality were great at this restaurant. I was greeted by a very nice young lady who sat us right where we requested and she was genuinely pleasant. Our server was really nice and attentive to our every need.
The food however at Applebee's is the same old thing. They change up their menu but it still doesn't seem to be any different every time I go there. The salads seem to have gotten worse than I remember. The cucumbers are diced really small so even if you don't like them they're impossible to remove. They are pre-made so that is what you get. My entre wasn't too bad but it came in a skillet so the potatoes tasted greasy and the skillet added a stale grease taste to the meal.

Spicy Tacos

Reviewed By dsnolan4 - del mar, ca

We were taken here by relatives who live near here. When we drove up, I didn't expect to have such a good meal. The margaritas are some of the best I've ever had. Homemade recipe.....not too sweet and no neon green colors. All the food was exceptional. The only reason I gave them four instead of five stars is because their taco shells are the store bought kind....you've got to fry your own taco shells....so weird because everything else was so authentic.

Main Street Cafe

Reviewed By rider_walt - Denver, Colorado

We knew this place would be good as we had to wait 10 minutes in a crowded restaurant. The staff were all young folks with a great attitude and focused on customer service.

My wife ordered the French Toast Special which came with sausage patties.
I ordered something else because I knew I would have the opportunity to finish her breakfast.....ta da.

The French Toast was light and cooked to perfection, a light drizzle of syrup and some of the whipped cream completed the dish. The sausage patties were a little salty, but that is what sausage does. They were a little spicy and very good texture.

I went with the Megas: other than the eggs being a little over cooked, it was a fantastic blend of eggs, green chilies, jalapenos and corn tortilla strips. Cover this with cheese and tomatoes. Add rice and beans to the plate and you are set. I didn't eat again until diner.

We will be back, that is for sure.

We were looking for a place to eat in Brighton on a Friday night and they were all packed. We hadn't tried Taco Loco but decided to stop in. The service was attentive considering it was really busy. The seating was limited and we ended up at a shared table with other guests. We ordered our food and surprisingly had our food within 10 or 15 minutes. The green chili was just so-so and I requested hot and they served me mild. They brought out a side of hot chili which turned out to be chili with roasted jalapeno's diced in it and not real green chili. The relleno's and burrito plate was pretty good and the prices are reasonable. We actually had to get some of our food to go because we couldn't finish. We will go back to try other plates too.
