Love the Italian Pastries here and frequently go to get something special for an after dinner treat. My spouse loves the apple turnovers and I love the Sfogliatella - according to Wikipedia, a
sfogliatella sometimes called a lobster tail in English, is a shell-shaped filled Italian pastry native to Campania.
Occasionally we stop there for a slice of pizza which is excellent - too bad they don't have the pizza all the time.

Hosted a team lunch for 10 and had an excellent experience. We made a reservation so we sat as soon as we arrived. Our server was very attentive and kept the drinks full and made sure the dishes came out timely.
We started with multiple appetizers served family style for sharing. I recommend the chicken scarpariello, melanzane fritter and fried calamari. The chicken was wrapped in bacon with hot peppers and eggplant were like fries.
I had the pan speared scallops which were very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their main dishes with many taking home leftovers due to the large portions.
I recommend carbone’s kitchen especially if you have to accommodate a large crowd.

We stopped in for dinner at the bar while our son was at baseball practice in Bloomfield. Excellent choice! I has the steak and cheese, which was melt in your mouth, and my husband has the eggplant burger - which was also great - if you like Brussels sprouts, try them too!

There are differences in Dunkin Donuts - depending on the management of the particular store. This one is pretty well run, and they still have a decent assortment of donuts - not great - but better than other DD in Bloomfield. We've even gotten to calling the one on Blue Hills Avenue "Dunkin NoDonuts" because they rarely have more than ten-twelve types of donuts at a time. No cinnamon (?) No sugar donuts(?). Park Ave has a better assortment.

This is a farm. There are animals and produce being grown. But what the big attraction is the ice cream stand. The service was excellent as there is one window to order and another window for pick up. The ice cream came out quickly. Staff was very friendly.
The peach was fresh and smooth. Not as rich as other ice cream places but really tasty. There were no ice particles in the ice cream. The coconut was rated as one of the best my wife had ever had. Also smooth with no ice. Prices were fair. Others there were getting these huge sundaes and milk shakes. Will visit again!

Bloomfield & West Hartford are the two best Bagel Shops in the Hartford area. A huge selection of fresh bagels and other bread items. Made to order Nosh or Sandwiches also offering just about anything you can imagine on a bagel.
I always order their coffee, too, something about their fresh brew makes this a must have. Be prepared for the morning and weekend crowds. More often than not the line extends out the door. The wait is good, chat some small conversation, mull over your order, and let the appetite build to a feverish pitch!

Have been here twice and each time the food was excellent. Even though I came with the intention of having a sashimi dinner, I was swayed on each visit to try their specials. Absolutely delicious! The last time this was a spicy gyoza. I also had some sushi. The presentations are beautiful and the service is crisp and professional. Lots of hot entrées, too, so something for everyone and every taste. This place is good, but it is a tad on the higher price side, so come prepared to pay a little more but expect to find each bite a delight.

I go to this Starbucks every few weeks. The staff is always friendly, quick and accurate. They also keep the tables, etc. very clean. Whatever specials Corporate Starbucks is running, they have on hand. Really great music choices as well.

My husband and I stopped in to buy their coffee for home. We decided to buy a cup of coffee ( and our free donut. Thanks AARP). The gentleman serving us was efficient, pleasant and helpful.
