Came here for dinner as it was rated #1 in Apple Valley, so what could go wrong? The drinks were pretty good, but the food was terrible. One entree was overly salted and the other had no flavor at all. Server was friendly but hardly seen throughout the night. Waited for 20 minutes after getting our drinks to be able to order as she wasn't seen for that long and it wasn't even busy.

Not sure how this place is #1, but wouldn't come back.

I gave it an average rating because the hostess is awesome. Every time we went in she recognized us. We'd have conversations about Disney trips and chat like old friends, however, I haven't been back since this last trip because, quite frankly, it was an awful experience.

They pre-mix their scrambled eggs with butter and who knows what. Since I havea sensative stomach to certain butters, I asked for fresh cracked eggs with nothing in them. What arrived, had butter. I knew immediately after the first bite. So I sent it back and asked for eggs without.... what came back, had so many little tiny pieces of egg shells in was inedible. When I pointed it out I was told "Well, that happens sometimes".... no. Not like that. That was intentional. I had gone in there for breakfast fairly frequently so, they lost a regular customer that day. Congratulations.

I was looking for a restaurant for a date night. We chose Andiamo, walking in the restaurant was clean and well kept. However, we were not greeted warmly. The host/bartender/waiter had an attitude and it felt like we were bothering him. At time point we contemplated if we should stay or leave. We decided to stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the food and the rest of the service. The food was very tasty work great portions. The happy hour menu is also a great addition.

The interior of the restaurant is really nice and it helped that it was snowing and they have a nice fireplace. The server was perfect. He recommended the chicken wings and they were great. The chicken and wild rice soup was perfect and amazing on a cold winter night. A great evening.

Jensen's Cafe

In the Minneapolis area and found this local recommendation on Trip Advisor.

Jillian was our server and her service was above average. My dining companions included my husband and two grandchildren, ages 8 and 4. The pancakes with whip cream and strawberries, from the kids menu, received two thumbs up from our 4 year old. Also ordered from the kids menu were eggs, ham, toast and fried red potatoes. Our 8 year old enjoyed the eggs and toast. He did not care for the potatoes or ham. Me and my husband had eggs, bacon/sausage, the red potatoes and toast. My husband also had a pancake. Eggs were not served as requested. Bacon and sausage were highly average. Our toast was okay but a little hard. I enjoyed the red potatoes, while my husband did not. Buttermilk pancake were given a solid four, out of five.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the ambience and local flavor of the area we felt while dining at Jensen’s Cafe. We were slightly disappointed in the food, given the glowing reviews I read online. However, we would probably return to try out lunch and dinner options.

Went here for Mother's Day on the advice of my sister.

The chefs were entertaining, but if you've seen one, you've seen them all.

Kids love this place especially when chefs try to toss food in their mouths or squirt "baby sake" (pink lemonade)in the their mouths. Adults can choose real sake.

Thought about ordering sushi, but didn't because no one else our party was.

We have been to Porter Creek on many occasions and have always enjoyed the food, ambiance and service.
During our latest family visit, half way though the meal the restaurant lights dimmed down to a point most of us could hardly see our plate. Ambience is nice, but this was really dark.
We noticed guests at a table across for us were also having a hard time reading the menu due to the poor light. I mentioned it to our server who responded that “the lights are on a timer”.
Feeling the timer was not the problem, but rather turning up the dimmer on the lights would resolve the issue. I was told that “I would need to speak with the manager”.
I asked if the manager could come to our table, but unfortunately the manager never did. Magically the check found its way to the table although it was hard to read as well. I just hope I calculated to total correctly…
I would recommend adding a flashlight app to your cellphone if you’re going to dine after sunset.
