They are in a different location and it's not as easy to get out of but the donuts are still great. The parking lot is tiny and so parking next door is advisable - plus then you can exit out onto Alexander without having to turn left onto the TV Highway.

Still the absolute best fritters anywhere.

Vivi’s has the best Vietnamese food period. Tons of veggie options. Every dish is filled with amazing flavour.
They have very few tables, so expect wait almost anytime of the day you visit. Larger parties means longer wait. Very popular with tech companies in the neighbourhood. But worth the wait if you like to feast on best Vietnamese food around.

Gyro House Mediterranean Grill

Reviewed By MrCustoms - Hillsboro, Oregon

I am new to this area but my coworkers highly recommended the Gyro House. It is located in a fairly residential area. It is a "no frills" place that reminds me of a deli or pizzeria. I can say that this is a great place to eat for a casual dining experience.

The service was a bit slow, but the lamb gyro I ordered was delicious! The portion size was huge and the gyro was so overstuffed with meat, veggies, cheese, and sauce that it was hard to eat without dripping food and sauces everywhere. But, aside from this I can highly recommend Gyro House. They also have a big menu of Greek gyro inspired pizzas that I am definitely going to try next time.

From the outside, Sabor Salvadoreno is just another little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Upon entering, the delicious aroma of authentic home-made food entices one to settle in to a small booth and peruse the well-rounded menu. The waitstaff are incredibly friendly and helpful, explaining the nuances of Salvador cuisine, and suggesting items to try. The prices are reasonable, the food tastes amazing, and the staff go above and beyond. Proof positive that good things come in small packages!

Went here for breakfast. Excellent and delicious choices. The place had a wait, but not too long. Our server was great-friendly, personable, attentive, and helpful. A definite change from our last visit here. Got the "Day Breaker" breakfast, with eggs, bacon, country potatoes, butternut squash, delicious crossoint. The other person got "Banana French Toast" with lots of French toast, slices of bananas, white chocolate sauce drizzled on it, candied walnuts. Both meals were so big that we took home half of each. Pastry case was full of yummy pastries and breads. We will return!

Decarli

decarli restaurant is where rustic meets modern. Chef/owner, Paul DeCarli, pulls from his Swiss-Italian roots to create a menu that reflects his heritage as well as combine local Northwest ingredients. Polenta fries with gorgonzola butter, mussels in fennel-saffron cream sauce, and espresso-braised shortribs are just a few of the many "must-haves.” Soaring open beam ceilings with rustic brick walls add to the ambiance of this 1924 historic building.

We like to go to places for Happy Hour; even though we don't drink, it still makes me happy to have a nice variety of small dishes at a cheaper price.

We selected some pretty standard fare for comparison sake. We got spring rolls, fried calamari, pork Pad Thai, and shrimp and vegetable tempura. The spring rolls were full of fresh, good vegetables and not too greasy. The calamari was kind of bland -- not as flavorful as I would have liked, and there wasn't salt and pepper on the table. The Pad Thai was quite flavorful but the pork was a little dry. But the shrimp and vegetable tempure was my favorite -- a nice variety and the tempura batter wasn't too thick so that you could still taste the vegetables.

There were plenty of other choices on the Happy Hour menu, divided into groups by price. The lowest price was $2.99 and highest price was $6.99, which wasn't bad.

The server was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was clean and peaceful. (One of my favorite things was the bamboo-looking water spout at the sink in the restroom -- check it out! I love those kinds of things!) Though I'm pretty picky, I definitely recommend this place as a cut above the average.
