I could tell when I walked into this place that it had a variety of stuff going on. First off, the staff was warm and welcoming. Their coffee was good as was the baked goods and breakfast wrap. We were camping and came here every morning to warm up with a good cup of joe. Thankfully, the bathrooms were large enough to change clothes in and even had a chair to sit down on. There are some items for sale (t-shirts, mugs, soaps, etc) and even used books one can purchase. A table is set up and ready for a game of chess. It's an attractive place with plenty of windows and beautiful mosaic tile.

I used to Travel to Alamosa 4-6 times a year and now it's only 1-2. I stop by Nestle Toll House every time and am never dissapointed. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. We mainly stick with the cookies. We usually spend $20-$30 worth....MoreWe are glad you enjoy your visits. Going on 3.5 years open and plan to be here a long time.

Really hard to believe a burger snob like me can find a fantastic burger in of all places, Alamosa but so be it. I had a Patty Melt with Bacon and Avocado. The 6oz patty is plenty of meat considering it's very juicy, well seasoned and cooked to perfection (med rare). With those grilled onions and the over the top and obviously homemade marble rye, this was a fantastic burger! Fries were good too. My wife had a dish which was sampling of fried fish (shrimp, cod, catfish), can't remember the name. It was also excellent. Not at all fishy, fried so well. For a side she had a bowl of the soup of the day; chicken green chili with posole. Nice dose of heat, super tasty. The service was excellent and the entire place has a great vibe. The food was outstanding. We took a piece of key lime and mango cheesecake back to our room. I have to say honestly I didn't care for it. As a few other's have said, it's not a 'true' cheesecake and whatever it was didn't work for me. But the rest of the meal was amazing.

For the life of me, I can't understand why anybody would go to Starbucks when they can get a MUCH better coffee drink at a better price at Blessed Brews, which is a SMALL, LOCAL business! Forget the big box, I'm spending my coffee dollars at Blessed Brews, The Roast & Milagros (which are all small, local businesses in Alamosa). :)

The hours for this cute eatery is very limited -- good luck finding a time that they are open. The service, food, and beer is so-so. There is an outside area which is nice for sitting in the afternoons. Their breakfast/brunch items are their best offering

Our party of four were there on 9/9/2017 for dinner. I loved our table "2 which I shall have to request again next time I am in town.
Our waiter was Marcos. He was quick sharp and very professional. I must request his table again.
We started off with wines. I had a Pinot grigio, others had Chianti. I always ask for extra ICE.
For appetizers we had Jalapeno Bottel Caps; and, fried calamari
Several had the Salmon special with a nice Balsamic Salad. They said it was very good.
I had the Full Spinach Lasagna. It was very tasty ;and, very Italian.
One guest had Italian Chef Salad with Italian Balsamic. Another had the Fettuvvine Alfredo with a Caesar Salad.
Everyone thought the food, drinks and service were very good.

Sincerely,

Ed Altman Jr.

I ate dinner here once while staying at the Hampton Inn nearby. It was a Saturday night so had to wait 10minutes to be seated. Staff were friendly. Ordered half rack of ribs but found the meat to be disappointing, there wasn’t much of it and it was rough and chewy. Had triple berry cake for sweet which was nice as was the beer, bud light. Price was reasonable 24.57dollars.

Campus Cafe

Breakfast and lunch

Reviewed By dagoDenver - Denver, Colorado

We finally found Campus Cafe directed by our phone off the highway. Since we'd been burned recently by friends recommendations (Except B-Day Gift to Ramon's in South Fork). We went to TripAdvisor for breakfast recommendations. Stopping on our trip home. Campus Cafe appeared near the top-so we parked the RUV out front & went in.

There's a sign on the door saying "SEAT YOURSELF". As we entered small waiting area with restrooms. We found about 6-8 student athletes waiting, And one gentleman who appeared to be a local-waiting on a table.

We took our turn in the que, the student athletes were wanting to sit together & waiting on a large table in the back corner (since ALL of them were so respectful/polite/& nice letting us go ahead of them & waiting patiently & so gracious w/thx & knew my alma mater-I covered their breakfast cost. As nice folks use to do when we were starving student athletes). Hopefully, one day they'll pay it forward......

I had the campus sandwich & added hash browns to make it an Oklahoma sandwich.
Pancakes were hot & lite along with crispy bacon & hash browns. Downside (the busy waitress I guess didn't hear or register that a vegetarian burrito was requested & the red+green chili both have ground pork in their sauce-so had to send back & redo).

YES! service is slow, appears waitresses are in need of more help-may be get some college kids? menu's hard to get a hold of (maybe too many locals knowing their orders), & be sure to ask for coffee refill when food arrives-it might be your last.

Asked for a cinnamon roll to go (reading T/A reviews). Found out how BIG it was when it slid out of the sink & hit the floor on the way home (good thing in box & bag whew!).

It was busy BUT I've learned that's a good thing if U want good food...Be patient!
