We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed their Tblta sandwich with French fries. It was busy but food service was quick. We shared the generous sized delicious sandwich with their unique and good iced tea.
The store is amazing and filled to the brim with great stuff.
A must stop in Abiquiu!

It was a cool October afternoon and we needed a bite before our dinner in Santa Fe. Nothing from Bode's grill next door was quite light enough. We stopped for a single scoop waffle cone. It was delicious. At one point I counted 12 hungry souls just sitting around the wooden patio enjoying their shakes and ice cream. It was exactly the stop and boost we needed Nice wait staff, and I even got a $10 T-shirt!

We, my wife and I, were winding up a four-day trip to Santa Fe. I think of Georgia O'Keeffe when I think of Santa Fe and my two sons think of Green Chili Cheeseburgers. Both of them told me that "yes, the food is great. You must have a Green Chili Cheeseburger." I am from Vermont. And we have amazing burgers here. You know what I mean: grass-fed beef, award-winning artisan cheeses, farmers growing vegetables used for garnish. Vermont burgers are good. Well, order a Green Chili Cheeseburger and you will not be disappointed!
We started with a Tamale Cake - FUN, and a Monk's Tripel - a local, just down the road craft beer, and a trout taco with house potato chips. Did I say that the frites were delicious? The fries were delicious. For dessert, a chocolate pinon tart. A wonderful meal. We were early and the service was spot-on. Efficient and attentive. I am sure all the items on the menu are good, but take my word for it, the Green Chili Cheeseburgers make you feel like you are in Vermont!

Just finished eating a very good, thin crispy crust pizza with excellent mozzarella and mushrooms.
Normally I do not take a chance on pizza when I travel because I live in the Philadelphia area where we have great pizza. We went to Mamacita's based on the TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed.
Plus, Marta the owner is very interesting to talk to. I would certainly go back again and highly recommend you stop by. You need to know there is no public bathroom and you must eat outside or take away.

You have to look closely to find this location but it is worth finding. We visited three times while staying in a nearby Inn with a supposedly upscale restaurant. We preferred DB's selections. On one visit we ordered a hamburger and a sandwich. They were excellent on home made bread. Much better than expected. Two other visits were for dinner. The meatloaf was really good as was the chicken. If a table by the side window is open you'll have a great mountain view. On one visit, just after a rain fall, we had a view of a giant rainbow with purple in it. The ice tea was good and refills were offered. The owner is friendly when he has time to visit. Definitely worth a stop.
