We had a great meal here! The food was good value, nicely presented and service swift! We had intended to go to the Masons Arms however it was busy and seemed quite claustrophobic! Although we were passing here and popped in, we were really glad we found it! Thank you for your review, we are so glad you decided to stop off with us for a meal and glad you enjoyed! We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Average place for the area, but not a negative, itâs just like most. Little grittier pretty basic. Cask ale, nice enough people working there. Feels a little sleepier than most, but I was there in an odd time. Clean, decent prices and not much more that stood out.

What a lovely positioned pub this is in Bowness. With a warm open fireplace this place was a fantastic resting point after driving to the lakes. Car parked for the day, I tried a dizzy blonde (pale ale) which was very refreshing. It serves normal pub food which I love so no complaints, although it was busy and service was a little slow. With that in mind, I probably would have ordered my drinks at the bar. Still wasn't a deal breaker though sometimes it's just nice to watch life go by.

Sat with a glass of bubbles and some light starters mid afternoon - watching the world from a distance ... delightful ! Bit away from the crowds but not so far as you feel detached from the atmosphere: if you are passing give it a tryItâs great to hear you enjoyed some fizz and a few nibbles, we hope to see you again soon.

It might need redecorating with new furnishings but the food in this place is very tasty and inexpensive in comparison to other local eateries, we were really surprised with how good the food was here having eaten at some top quality places. Just had a couple of nights here and what a great find. Perfect location in the middle of Windermere with off street parking. Lovely large room, big enough for a table and chairs in the window which we had our breakfast at. Staff lovely and friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Had a meal here which was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for one night in a standard double room.Pleased to find parking available onsite to the front of the hotel. Check in was polite and efficient.Found the room to be clean, well maintained with quality furnishings. Nice view out over the town to the lake and Belle Isle.En-suite clean and modern with very powerful corner shower, heated rail etc.Dined in the restaurant with table service, food also available in the various bar areas all of which are tastefully decorated throughout and creates a welcoming ambiance.Food was good quality and well cooked, well priced, and service was excellent.Fillet steak cooked perfectly to order.Bed was comfy, room quiet, well slept.Breakfast didnât disappoint, good selection of continental and cooked options. Full Cumbrian was excellent. Service again excellent.Bar area equally appealing as a lounge area during the day, selection of various seating with some comfy leather chairs, perfect for relaxing after breakfast to read the paper and the fire crackling in the background.To summarise this is a well appointed small hotel, which is run to the highest standard. It has been thoughtfully and tastefully modernised and decorated throughout with quality fixtures and fittings. The attention to detail is evident throughout.All of the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient.I wouldnât hesitate to recommend The Angel Inn, and look forward to returning.Dear Reviewer, please be aware that we no longer respond to your reviews on an individual basis. Family of 10 visited saturday night 14.9.19 - great atmosphere and lovely decor in the basement restaurant. Matt & Kaydi were very nice, good service. Matt very witty. Everyone enjoyed their starters n meals - no room for dessert! Would recommend the cajun salmon salad

We'd heard good things about this place and we weren't disappointed. It's a proper old pub with loads of character. We just fancied a ham sandwich but oh boy it was delicious. The barm was tasty and was piled with good quality ham with a delicious side salad. Very filling and proper tasty!Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us!
