This was our first visit, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were friendly and helpful, the conservatory was light and airy, with charming views. The menu is extensive and very well priced. We had Hunters Chicken, Ham & Eggs, and Braised Steak. They were all plentiful, very well cooked and presented, and all went down a treat! Spot on for value for money, and a tasty selection to suit all tastes. Definitely worth a visit

Welcome to The Black Horse Monkseaton Street Food Kitchen and Bar based in the heart of Whitley Bay. Since opening our doors on the 1st December 2017, we have already established ourselves as the place to dine in the Monkseaton / Whitley Bay area among th
I was only here because the local provider of a music room was having their pub refurbished and we needed another venue to sing in. However I was very impressed with The Black Horse in many ways. The Manager? even borrowed a guitar and gave us a couple of songs and I have to say he was a very accomplished player as well as being very approachable guy. Good surroundings Good Staff and I'm sure the food will be just as good! Thanks very much Iâll be back!I have been conservative with the marks as I didn't have food but I feel confident that higher marks would have been in order had I had a meal.

The Red House Farm Bar & Restaurant in Whitley Bay is a friendly & relaxing pub on the coast, perfect for a pint or some delicious dinner! We have a separate dining area, where we serve high quality, locally sourced and homemade meals, with offers through
My family and I were here with a touring show about 5 years ago. While wandering around Newcastle, we saw this very old looking building with a pub called Red House, so we decided to give it a shot. Had an amazing pie. Holy guacamole! (There's no guacamole in the pie, it's just an expression.) It was great! We have talked about the pies ever since. When my family heard I was going back to Newcastle without them this time, they were so bummed they would miss out on Red House pies! I recommend the mince and onion with minted peas and meat liquor. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I also took some co-worked with me. I'd raved about the place so much I was afraid it might not live up to their expectations. But they all loved it as well! Highly recommend hitting the Red House at least once, maybe twice. Or three times.

Indian/ bangladeshi cuisine in the heart of whitley bay. Family run business with over 35 years of experience in the catering trade. Takeaway and home delivery service and outdoor catering available.
The bar for Indian in Whitley Bay is low. Itâs full of 3rd+ generation Bangladeshi restaurants competing to add as much sugar as possible to their curries, presumably driven by the localsâ taste. But not this one. Donât get me wrong, Iâm not transported to India, but they do have some different dishes that you wouldnât find elsewhere. The service is always top notch, great with the recommendations, and the food is way above average for this town. But then again, I donât like sugar in my curry and it seems the vast amount of people around here demand it.

First visit here and a pleasant experience. We hadnât reserved in advance but were still able to grab a seat in the peaceful orangery. My friends opted for the home-made fishcakes and chicken breast with bacon mash, both of which they enjoyed. The vegetarian options didnât suit me so I ended up with two starters and a side salad ⦠the garlic mushrooms were delicious as were the potato skins, but I hadnât realised the latter came with a salad as well â¦â¦ so I ended up taking the other side salad home in a doggy bag. Helpings were very generous and prices reasonable â we will be back!!

Went for dinner early on Friday evening. We have been before and have usually been able to get a table. However, on this occasion just about every table was occupied or reserved. It would be helpful if the website made it clear that booking is recommended. There were in fact only two tables available. One tall one with high stools and a normal table in what we were told was a dog friendly room. We took the one in the dog friendly room only because the room was empty and the reservations were for much later. I have never been keen on eating with animals, I generally prefer restaurants to barns and I know quicker ways to get to the dog house. Needless to say the service was fairly slow and by the time food arrived so had the dogs. Why do people feel the need to take animals to dinner? Eating food and trying to ignore the eau de wet dog is not my idea of enjoyment. Passed on dessert and coffee and left quickly but probably not as fast as the huge greyhound sitting next to us could have managed.

A beautiful traditional village pub with a sun trapped beer garden and serving meals all day. Come and try our traditional Indian Curry every Tuesday and Wednesday. Every Thursday we have a Steak Night. Tapas on Friday and Saturday. Sunday roasts go down
Ordered fish and chips, steak and chips, kids ordered chips and chicken nuggets and spaghetti. Every meal was a massive portion and top quality, beautifully presented and very good service! They have a new menu which was much better but also have a 2 meals for £10 Which is brilliant value, our meal and 2 coke's with a wine 2 beers and a cuppa came to just over £46 Which i thought was brilliant value! Thanks Derek to you and all your team, xxxThank you so much for taking time out to leave a review. We are very happy you enjoyed the visit and look forward to seeing you again soon.
