Very friendly welcome and good service. Starters are huge which isnât always s good thing as we didnât have room for our mains. We had pie for mains which were very tasty. Nice chocolate eggs served with the bill which is a nice touch. The place wasnât very busy but it was a Monday night.Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, it is very much appreciated. Place fairly empty, service slow and a lot more expensive than our last visit, steak well seasoned, that suited me but not the other person on our table that ordered 'Surf, Turf & Cluck'

We recently stayed at The Blacksmiths (Barn Owl room) for two nights while attending a nearby wedding. We didn't realise when we arrived that Wednesday night was burger night and obviously extremely popular but staff were able to find us a table and we enjoyed some brilliant food for dinner!The garden and outside seating area was very quiet and a great place to relax in the evening before heading in for a few drinks before bed. Our room and bathroom (with rolltop bath) were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our two nights stay. Breakfast was just good as dinner and the staff were very accommodating throughout.

We ate here on August 10th and the pub is still the best in the area. The pub was heaving as usual and I had the chicken Caesar salad and my husband had the steak. Both amazing and the service was fabulous and staff very efficient and friendly. Amazing.

We dropped into the Pond Barn last night (11/3/19) for a last minute chance to get food before they closed there kitchen. Barmen was really friendly and the food that we had was exceptional. I had the Cajun burger which was amazing. Everyone else in the group raved about there food too!! Thankyou Pond Barn for for hospitality, great food and good atmosphere, will definitely return on our next work trip to the area. Thanks for your nice review , always welcome with us at the Pond

Fantastic food, drink and service yet again. I just don't know where all the negative comments come from. We've been here 3 times in 2 months and everything has been perfect for us each time. Quick service from really polite staff. Food on all occasions has been first class for the price. We really like independent or small chain pub/restaurants as these tend to provide higher levels of service and food standard.This pub doesn't disappoint on any level.

I hate leaving negative feedback but this visit with my family left me so disappointed in what used to be a lovely pub. The service was slow and one male staff member came across very rude! Our drinks took so long to arrive and the food was over cooked and dry. The only highlight was our lovely overworked waitress. Sad to say there are better pubs around.

We stopped in on a very windy and rainy day, expecting (from the outside) a low key and average lunch....how wrong we were! The serving staff were polite and helpful, despite being busy, service was quick, fresh and hot and the whole atmosphere was warm and friendly. Food offering was varied and large portion sizes too! Dogs, families, children....all welcome in this deceptively large Inn. Definitely needs a return visit!
