Our server Sandra was top notch. Very attentive Great suggestions all the way. The wedge salad was delicious, the fried chicken was even more delicious and the warm lemon pound cake was the perfect way to round out the meal. Your review means a lot to us, Cameron! We were going to be out exploring and I saw this place listed so thought we would try it. I had the Crawfish Platter, which contained a salad, a crawfish pistolette, crawfish etouffe and fried crawfish tails. I enjoyed them all. My wife had the friend oysters and she said they were a little overcooked but were OK. The service was very good and we definitely plan to return, especially during crawfish season for their boiled crawfish.

Recommended by our hotel desk clerk, Spanky's proved to be a real find in this far-eastern Texas town. My wife had the fried shrimp and I opted for fried oysters. Both were offered with french fries, onion rings, hush puppies, or all three. Service was very fast and extremely courteous. We were there on a Thursday night, and the place was packed with locals--a testimony to the quality and quantity served up. Not to be missed!
