I passed there twice for cold drinks during happy hour. Besides proper service, one can enjoy a nice view over Stonetown and enjoy the architecture of an old swahili palace.

Expected more considering the other reviews. Service was slow.Starter didn't turn up. Main courses had an oddly gluey texture and both tasted pretty similar as if the same sauce had been used with just some veg added to one. Quite pricey for what it was. Lots of other places do veg curry probably better.

Stopped by every time we passed by, excellent and fresh local juices, great combinations and lovely atmosphere. Owner is super nice and helpful and there will be jam sessions every Tuesday. The place is not fancy nor new. Very traditional. It's got Wi-Fi and a small bar. You can sit on the deck and have a great view. Staff are super friendly but most of all the best meal I had in Zanzibar in my one week here. Beef a la Romano. Absolutely homey and hearty. Really great meal.

Went to have few beers and some snacks. We were told the transport to "island" would be free if we have few beers.We ended on having some grilled prawns and some local beer. The service was good, the staff are nice and prices are decent considering the location, as they could charge a lot more!
