Last night 10 of us ate here. There is an outside are by the canal and in inside bar and dining area. We were inside. The selection of beers are substantial but most are in 25 or 33cl measures which is strange to us English. The food was very reasonable it tasted good and was on the good side of the curve on price. The let down was the service. It wasnât that it was bad, it just wasnât there. Most of the time we watched an waited to be waited on and it just didnât happen. By the time we got someoneâs attention for the bill, I was getting hungry again!Dear Martin,Thanks for visiting us and letting us know how you experienced your visit. Good to hear you liked the food. We regret that you didn't appreciate our service.We also regret that you didn't appreciate the fact that we made room for you on one of our busiest nights in the year allthough you didn't make a reservation. Concerning the measures of our beers: We know that there is a difference between (your) imperial system and (our) metric system. But to hold that against us in a TripAdvisor review...well,remarkable. Finally: Our staff made a great effort to help you. We did not hear one complaint on the night it self while we thanked everybody personally when you left. All in all: we had had another impression then you describe in your review. But I guess we misjudged that..

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. The service was not always that good, first of they forgot to hand us over a dessert and forgot to bring the second drink. The staff is quite young but they did their upmost best. And it was not annoying, they apologised for the fact they did not give us the menu, it had it's reasons. Because person #1 could not seat us he asked person #2, however person #2 (who seated us) was not actually serving our part/table. So the one who should (person #3) was not really aware we had not ordered yet. Anyway, no problem at all. The food compensated most of that, we had a soup (soup of the day) as a starter which was a good portion and very tasty. Main was a local steak and a stew made of the local steak. Very tasty and very well portioned. I've substituted the fries for some French bread and had a good meal. Dessert was crème Brule and a ice-cream with red fruit and whipped cream. Ambiance is ok for a place like this (it is situated on a camping ground). Nothing wrong with any of it and we had a very good stay. Full stomachs and a good evening.

Nice simple restaurant. Good food, service is very friendly. Very Nice terrace around the restaurant. Near water. It's situated on a island, there can be waiting time of 10-15 minutes to cross the water. Over a bridge.

We happened upon this restaurant, whilst looking for somewhere to eat, and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and service. Five of us shared the bread loaf and spreads as a starter, and then our individual meals, and all enjoyed excellent meals. Service was very good, would recommend this restaurant.
