Right in the center of the village of Rossdorf, there is the historical Restaurant "Zur Sonne". Bas Wieland, the dutch owner and cook and his friendly stuff do their best to serve you well at very reasonable prices. Besides a broad variety of freshly prepared "standards" on the menu, there are wine specials, seasonal offerings (e.h. mushrooms, Christmas, etc.), regional specialities (I strongly recommend their South-African weeks!) and the like. Local people love this place.Highly recommended!

Sehr schöne Lage.Essen sind mir die Schnitzel etwas zu klein und der Geschmack ist nicht meiner, dafür stimmt im ganzen der Preis.Biergarten ist auch ok und man kann da auch mal die Zeit gemütlich verbringen. Ein paar Tiere sind auch dort, Hühner, Hasen nebenan Pferde. Den Sandkasten für die Kinder würde ich meiden, darin habe ich und mein Sohn vor ein paar Tagen Burgen gebaut, musste aber schnell feststellen das es von den Katzen als Klo genommen wird echt eklig.

I've been to Antik Lokales multiple times over the past 6 years - it is always a pleasure to go back. The beer is good (I love the Apfelwein) and the food never disappoints - best schnitzel in Darmstadt (at least for someone like me who visits about twice a year). The service here is quite good and I like the atmosphere.
