This is a wonderful place that I keep coming back to year after year. The peace, warmth and beautiful surroundings make for a perfect getaway. The Obermühle in-house brewery (situated directly above the aesthetic bar) produces an excellent beer, which, when served by local waiters, will give you the sensation on culture.Great food! The kitchen uses mainly local vegetables and meat; I had a talk to the chef-cook and he told me, that they visit many of the producers of these ingredients. After a satisfying meal from the Obermühle, you should rent a boat and sail into the forrest and enjoy the peace.The rooms are surprisingly neat, compared to what you often meet outside bigger cities. I enjoyed a room with a view to the lake, where the sound of rushing water was lulling me into rest.I fully recommend the Obermühle for eating, drinking and sleeping for anyone!

We had a family birthday celebration of around 13 people, plus little kids. The food arrived at the same time, and was hot. Taste-wise? Awesome. Some people had problems finishing their portions as the steaks were quite large. I had an off-the-menu order (as I don't eat meat) and they obliged with a smile - fried mushrooms and potatoes. It came with a bit of salad on the side and both looked and tasted good.I hope to eat here again next time we're in town.

We really loved eating at this restaurant. Our main dishes with desert and drinks were only â¬66,-, with 3 persons. The quality of the food was good, well prepared. Enough choice for everyone. The interior of the place is amazing. It's a renovated horse stable with a lot of antique furniture. The waiter was awesome! He had a nice chat with us, explaining some of the antique items and shares history of the place. He also offered us a free drink. Would definitely return.

I havenât been to such a good romanian restaurant in.. ever! I ordered the Siebenburger (worth every kcal! Simply delicious) and the traditional dish Sarmale (so flavourful my momma would ask for the recipe) and the traditional dessert Papanasi (asked for seconds, i regret nothing.) The staff is so nice and welcoming you imediately feel at home. If youâre looking for great food and great service this is definitely a spot for you. My friends and I will for sure return!I hope you will return soon :) thank you for the kind words and the best table is always reserved for you! Until we meet again Team Siebenburgen~
