We passed this cafe on our way from the train station. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was excellent. We loved our food - best we have had in Amsterdam so far. And it was priced so reasonably. And loved the two well behaved doggies there. Definately a must go.

A hidden gem in this lovely city. The weather was glorious the day we visited which, of course, made it even more lovely. The staff were great, delicious wine and the pizzas (although we didn't have one) looked amazing!!

Small local cafe which makes you feel very warm, welcome and cosy immediately when you enter. Absolutely great food, including perfectly juicy steak grilled exactly as ordered, yet warm ciabatta accompanying a salad, crispy fresh veggies, mouth-watering mustard soup and much more choice. Friendly and quick service, good wine, very reasonable prices. Would definitely come back.

While smoking a fine Ashton cigar purchased in a cigar store in the French Quarter and conversing with Armando, the stores owner, I asked for recommendations for an early dinner. He immediately suggested Koops because of its excellent food and its proximity. I loved the fact that it was old and small and had an almost dive-bar ambience. The music from the speakers was to loud and it bothered my friend so I asked the waitress if she could turn it down and she did so with a smile. The marinated crab claws were great, (really great) as was the chicken dish I had. (It had a long cajun name, can't tell it too you). I would be surprised if everyone who likes the French Quarter didn't like Koops.

We happened upon this restaurant when we rode bikes from Haarlem to see the North Sea. We had great food from the small plates menu and were able to sit out of the sun but still feel the breeze.

This place has a great vibe. The converted church is pretty cool. They have some tasty beers, but served in micro glasses for 5 euro. You are paying for that atmosphere. Ordered a few snacks which were ok, nothing spectacular. Servers are not very engaging or friendly.

We went here on the recommendation of the hotel receptionist, and ended up going back for a second visit. The weather was pleasant enough for us to sit outside and the food was excellent. I really enjoyed the veggie Flammkuchen, which is similar to a light pizza, but minus the tomato sauce. The salad was very good too.The staff were friendly and helpful, but the service seems to move at a set pace - they'll seat you and offer you drinks, then come back and offer you some bread to start, and even if you ask to see the menus during this time, they'll only bring them when they want to. Maybe they had to hunt around for English menus for us, I don't know, but it was the same both nights. If you don't mind waiting, it's a really great place.

Haarlem is Amsterdam without the tons of people, bicyclists, and noise. 20 minutes by train.This little Irish pub is a blast. Louisa and Shurd were a blast and made it so much fun.Stop in. youâll be glad you did.

I had lost my cell phone today and was feeling miserable. Three hours later, I found it and felt wonderful. Time to celebrate with a great dinner. We went in for the ribs but they were sold out. Let's try the steak? The beer, a light Guiness, hit the spot. The steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare and the sauce made it sing. Good fries and veggies and my spirits rose. Leisurely service worked out nicely. AOK all round.
