My roomie often orders Gary's Pizza delivery when I am not home - if she has friends over, or is by herself and doesn't want to cook. She prefers the pizza to Domino's. I am not a person who has pizza regularly, but I do know good pizza. There are so many components to a great pie. The crust should be flavorful and have the right chew factor. The sauce should be just the right amount, tangy and a balance of acid/salt/sweet. The meats should be plentiful and robust. If veggies come into play, they should compliment the pie and be fresh and not super overdone. This pizza was a disappointment.Communicating our order was a challenge, number one. We wanted a large pizza with sausage and double pepperoni. They talked us into a 'jumbo', which showed up not different than a large. The pizza crust was chalk-like - and an obviously pre-made crust similar to one I would buy (or NOT buy) pre-made in the grocery store. The toppings didnt even adhere to this bready, flavorless 'crust'. There was nothing 'crusty' about it. It was like bread that hadn't even been baked. The toppings were also a disappointment. The sauce was nearly non-existent. The pepperoni was sliced paper thin and disappeared. It was certainly not doubled. The sausage was doubled. I think there was cheese. Not the gooey, stretchy cheese you love pizza for. This was waxy cheese that didn't move at all. This is what $24 gets you.I should've gone to Domino's for pizza that at least has some flavor in the toppings. I won't pay for Gary's again. Oh - and it wasn't hot at all when it arrived.Funny thing was, I'd been craving Jacks pizza of all things....super thin crisy crust and tangy toppings, dirt cheap gas station pizza. Should've gone with it and saved $20. Never again.

9. Sbarro

Home of the original XL NY Slice. Since 1956, Sbarro has been serving the XL NY Slice. Starting with made-daily hand stretched dough, San Marzano style sauce and topped with 100% Whole Milk Mozzarella cheese.

You think we would have learned our lesson by now?The pizza is expensive. The "meal" options are as well and you have to ask the staff to actually FILL the bowl with pasta rather than leaving it half empty. They will also skimp on sauce if you don't ask for enough to cover the pasta (leaving it dry). So much wrong with the Sbarro here but then again, it is a mall eatery, not a real Italian restaurant/deli.Quick eats for mall shopping when you are in a hurry. Not many options at this mall with no real anchor eatery.

We went to Chuck E. Cheese's for an adult birthday party - kind of as a joke- but we had a good time. The cheese pizza we had was pretty plain - crust was boring. The other pizza, I forget the name, had peppers onions and BBQ chicken- that was very tasty. We bought $10 worth of tokens and that was plenty to get a taste of several different games. My favorite was the dog that eats the balls or the football throwing game. All in all- it is fun for adults too!

I've written this about other Casey's but it's true here, too. I've always found the employees friendly. They say hello, they smile, they might ask you about the weather or what you're up to. You get to know the cashiers at Casey's.In addition, this location (and most) have better than average pizza available by the slice or whole pizzas for pickup. They make both a thin crust and a traditional crust that our family has enjoyed. Casey's General Store supports local community organizations. That's another reason I like them. They supported our boy's troop organization for a recent troop outing, and it was enormously helpful.

We often stop at Zaffiro's before seeing a movie. They have a nice menu selection. Our favorite "movie snack" is their homemade potato chips. They also have a decent beer selection. You can take a beer into the movie theater. The staff is always friendly. We like the atmosphere as well.

Applebee's

Went here on Easter Sunday around 2 p.m. Probably was 2/3 full in the restaurant. We had a friendly server. We looked at the menu, which has been continually been tweaked and not what it used to be. You really can't eat under $10, so okay. My kids used to rave about the Quesadilla burger from the Roseville restaurant in the cities. I always get the Oriental Chicken Salad but was feeling like a hot entree this time. So, I opted for the burger. Instead of fries, got the Garlic Mashed Potatoes, which I thought was nice. I like a choice and don't like to do fries, generally. Our food took forever to come out.I felt my plate and it was luke warm. The potatoes were warm and I tried to melt my butter in it. The burger was also lukewarm, so I asked that it be heated up. When it came back, it was warmer but not hot like you expect restaurant food to be served. The quesadilla burger was a mess. The lettuce was slimy, there was no tomato, or avocado, or pico de gallo. There was cheese. The taste of the burger was offputting - sort of like home-made from high fat content meat that was turning. The burger wasn't a patty shape. After a couple of small bites, I decided to send it back. I ordered my Oriental Chicken Salad. The manager stopped over twice to apologize. My girlfriend's burger and fries were okay, and her dessert and Raspberry Lemonade was good. She picked up the check, which was a nice surprise treat! The server brought our bill and looked on for her reaction. "Wow. Thank you!", my friend said. We'd not been charged for either of my entrees. That's how service recovery is done, complete with apology and 'making things right' by the manager.Yet, I don't want to go here anymore, at least for a long while. She's had issues before about cold food, and I just find their latest combinations to be weird. I used to love Applebee's. I don't want bizarre chili sauced chicken nuggets on top of mac and cheese. I want a good steak, or a sandwich variety that doesn't cost $14. I miss TGIFriday's. We'll hit Texas Roadhouse next time instead and pay the extra buck for some good eats. Thank you server and manager, for not making us pay for food that was not up to par.

Everytime we went back the warming tables were refilled. Great atmosphere, lots of dining space as well. Great experience, thanks!
